i think kalo u nak drive GOR, allocate 1 day from Melbourne to Port campbell/kawasan sewaktu dgnnye.
pastu kalo nak drive dari Melbourne ke Sydney, boleh amek 10 hrs by Hume tanpa stopping byk sgt. tapi kalo nak berenti kat touristy places, (mcm Etamogah Pub ke, Gundagai ke) mmg boleh amek sampai 12 jam ++.
in melbourne itself ada free Tourist bus tu so bolehla melepak atas bus tgk major tourist attractions. to me, 1 full day cukup utk tour important attractions in the CBD.
dari Sydney ke Gold Coast/Brissie red tak buat lagi. GC too touristy lah. heheh |

kalo byk masa, ikut coastal highway.
kalo rushing ikut Hume.
Coastal Highway ni comes thru Gippsland so bykla scenery yg lawa2. Hume nyer pemandangan oklah.
to some people Coastal Highway kena plus 10 hrs kan? not too sure. red tak buat lagi. Hume tu cume 10-12 hrs jer. |

sal dah pi NZ kan? i hav to say yg OZ dah la currency up sket, tahap frenliness tu i prefer kiwis lagi tapi its worth the journey and trip knowing the locals.
i concur pasal road trip vs. coach tour. kalo ada time n space buat sendirik lah. kalo muda mudi pegi europe punye style boleh buat contiki tour - whole of europe in 21 days! giler....
OZ pun mcm NZ gak, dia nyer info centre byk maklumat. pastu another thing i always do is request free copy posted to the house. heheheh
boleh belek2 secara physical.
oh, i asked my fren, dia buat sydney-brissie adala amek another 10 hrs. |

ada satu kemusykilan, kat mana nak berenti solat? utk myself sendiri takda masalah, boleh solat di mana2 hatta solat tepi kereta, amik wuduk pun dgn sebotol air jer. tapi problemnya dgn org lain yg ikut kita travel. derang tak reti solat tepi kereta especially org ppuan. sepanjang drive di Great Ocean Road tu kat mana nak berenti solat? timakasih. |

semasa saya di Melbourne dulu, ada pergi Great Ocean Road 3-4 kali. Rasanya masjid yang paling dekat ialah di Geelong tetapi kalau bertolak pagi, awal sangat. Kalau 'balik hari', kitorang biasanya berhenti kat public parks, bentang picnic mat dan solat je (biasanya sekaligus dengan picnic lunch). Sekali tu dekat Warrnambool at the end of G.O.R. There's a small park dekat dengan tempat whale-sighting tu dan ada pulak kedai fish n chips yg sedap dekat2 situ  . Sekali lagi pulak dekat stopover di highway - again another park with public gas barbecue set.
Kalau bermalam along the way, sebaiknya rancang perjalanan supaya boleh solat kat tempat accommodation; kitorang pernah tinggal dekat Port Cambell. Yg menariknya, dapat tengok Twelve Apostles masa matahari tenggelam jugak - different experience.
Sekarang ni summer, rasanya kalau plan betul2, sempat balik solat jamak di Melbourne pun (ikut highway - total journey dlm 6 hours). Kitorang pernah buat camtu jugak rasanya.
Tentang orang lain yg travel dgn kita tu, sebaiknya kita beritahu plan nak solat camana sebelum perjalanan dan suruh buat persediaan - .e.g orang perempuan boleh bawak pakaian sesuai, socks etc. |
