Real Madrid president Perez prepares Adriano assault

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has identified his galactico for next season - Inter Milan's Brazilian powerhouse Adriano.
       
In Italy earlier this month, Perez was bowled over by Adriano's hat-trick performance against Messina and has already discussed his signing with new general manager Arrigo Sacchi.

The arrival of Sacchi strengthens Perez's hand in his pursuit of the Brazilian. It was Sacchi who negotiated Adriano's loan move to Parma from Inter two years ago.

Perez has already made an enquiry for Adriano, but it was rejected by Inter majority shareholder Massimo Moratti. However, he came up against similar resistance before landing Ronaldo over two years ago.

Like Sacchi, Ronaldo also has a major role to play in the deal. The striker is good friends with Adriano and will work during Brazilian camps to try and convince him to quit Inter and move to Madrid in the summer.

Inter, who are today being linked with Raul and Robinho, have seemingly ruled out a move for Lazio ace Cesar.

The latter is a known target for the Nerazzurri but the giants insist that the Brazilian is just too expensive.
