Football called to a halt


The sad news from Catania has led the comissioner of the Italian football
federation, Luca Panelli, to suspend all footballing activity across Italy.
For this reason, Juventus will not be playing their game against Rimini
tomorrow. "This incident - announced Juventus chairman Giovanni Cobolli
Gigli - calls for a time of serious reflection and we must act decisively to
see that football returns to the hands of lovers of sport. Juventus joins in
mourning for the death of Inspector Raciti and gives its full support for
the decision of Commisioner Pancalli to suspend all championship games".

Juventus University: class in session (ni ada program baru dlm senarai kursus kat juve university)

From now until Friday the Juventus Center will be transformed into a classroom as a course set up by Juventus University heads for Vinovo. It抯 a new elementary programme open to FIGC (the Italian football federation) approved coaches and graduates and seniors enrolled in the final year of a motory sciences degree.

The course will consistent of three days of intensive classes covering technique, coaching skills, psychology, sports medicine and motory sciences and taught by an 鑜ite team of professors and experts in their respective fields. Among the illustrious role-call of tutors this weekend will be Didier Deschamps, who will meet the aspiring coaches at the end of this afternoon抯 training session, and Antonio Pintus, who will step up to the lectern tomorrow.

The Juventus University is in fact an advanced programme designed to train and hand-pick the staff who will take part in running the activities and initiatives of the Juventus Soccer Schools in Italy and the rest of the world.

Through the courses of Juventus University, Juventus Soccer Schools aims to instruct qualified coaches in the model, the values and the culture of the Bianconeri, who will then be able to guarantee children of all ages from across the world an education in the Juventus brand of football and maximum growth of the initiative on a global scale.
