Fernando Alonso said that third was the best he could have hoped for on the circuit least suited to Ferrari of the remaining races.
After the early retirement of Robert Kubica, Alonso was never seriously threatened for third by either McLaren driver and he cruised home to secure yet another podium finish.
"Obviously it was a tough race," said Alonso. "The start was not very good and Robert made a fantastic start on the clean side and we were lucky when Robert retired because he was a tough rival considering the speed of the Renault this weekend.
"Then I was more or less alone in the race with no pressure from behind and it was impossible to catch Red Bull in the first part of the race and in the second half they managed a little bit the gap to Button and were playing with that gap. I was able to run close to them but never close enough to put pressure on."
When asked whether he needed further race victories to win the drivers' title, Alonso replied that he thought podiums would be enough. "We knew before coming here that third place was our maximum here and we are convinced that this is the worst track for us of the remaining circuits in the championship so it was a good weekend overall. I still think that podiums are enough."
pehhhhhhh humble nyer si Super Alonso ni.... ni yg dunia nak tgk...
