PERHIMPUNAN TUNJUK PERASAAN DI SINGAPURA DILERAIKAN OLEH POLIS
A crowd of Malaysians gathered near a Singapore landmark last night to protest against what they claimed were rigged elections in their country.
Dressed mostly in black, the crowd of mainly young people stood at Merlion Park in Marina Bay, holding up signs and chanting occasionally.
They also sang the Malaysian national anthem.
They started gathering at about 9.30pm and soon started to chant "ubah", which means change in Malay, as well as "return democracy to me" in Mandarin.
What police say
On May 8 at 9.50pm, the police received a call informing us that a group of people had gathered to stage an illegal outdoor protest at Merlion Park.
Upon the police's arrival, our officers assessed that a group of about 100 persons had gathered illegally at the park with placards and other paraphernalia.
Our officers advised the group that such an activity is illegal in Singapore, and they dispersed peacefully.
Five individuals believed to have organised the illegal outdoor protest are currently assisting the police in their investigations. The police would like to remind the public that conducting an outdoor protest without a police permit is illegal in Singapore.
While foreigners, including Malaysians, are allowed to work or live here, they have to abide by our laws. They should not import issues from their own countries into Singapore, which can disturb public order as there can be groups with opposing views.
The authorities will act firmly and those who break the law will face action which could include termination of their visas or work passes.

Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, The Star dan New StraitTime
Last edited by dashu8115 on 10-5-2013 02:31 AM

page 77 :
Pakatan Rakyat: Cerita Pasal Kebodohan mari kita bincang pasal kebodohan pula.
1. tak percaya keputusan pilihanraya? abah ko menang majoriti 20,000-40 ,000 boleh percaya ke? mak tiri ko menang majoriti 60,000 pun pakai kotak undi luar hantar pakai helikopter? apa pekak sangat telinga ko tak boleh dengar helikopter terbang atas pusat undi?
2. menang sebab undi bangla? eh, ko ingat BN menang majoriti 2-10 undi?? berapa banyak bangla korang tangkap? ade dapat 1,000 bangla kat satu tempat mengundi? kalau menang macam Dato' Tajuddin tu 7,000 majoriti, takkan bodoh sangat ko tak boleh nak nampak 7,000 bangla beratur mengundi? satu kampung boleh bau ketiak laaaaa.
3. ada indon undi 2 kali? buktinya jari kiri dan kanan ada kesan calitan dakwat biru. aik? bukan abah ko kata tenyeh pakai sabun mandi pun boleh hilang ke? kenapa indon tu dan petugas SPR sengaja nak kantoikan diri pergi calit kiri-kanan? kenapa indon tu tak cuci pakai sabun dan kemudian keluar mengundi balik?
4. kenapa bangla? kenapa tak cina dari china? kenapa tak orang indonesia? kan lebih mudah nak tipu. kalau cina tu, muka pun sama penyek je. kalau indon tu, sama je macam muka orang melayu. siap boleh cakap melayu lagi fasih daripada cina malaysia lagi! kenapa banglaaaaa????? 5. ok lah. KATALAH, betul isu BN terbangkan 30,000 bangla naik 4 pesawat tempsanggup bersusah payah, dengan risiko kantoi lagi, dengan kos tinggi, dengan pelbagai-bagai masalah, tapi demi nak menipu PRU, BN sanggup!! takkanlah Pakatan Rakyat tak sanggup nak upah seorang dua bangla RM1,000, bagi ic palsu, calit jari dia dan suruh dia berlegar-legar di kawasan pembungan undi. bila ditangkap, ajar dia jawab "ini BN punya kerja". mana lagi mudah nak buat??
6. apa ke bahalol wakil parti daripada PR? mengulat? makan gaji buta? pergi meliwat? melayan perempuan simpanan? waktu proses undi tu, wakil parti PR tak boleh nampak penipuan? nama aku dipotong pada EMPAT senarai berbeza. takkan la tak perasan. 7.
Anwar cakap PRU13 dicatur BN. Berpuluh lagi kerusi PR menang, bapak yahudi ko catur?-cucunenekkebayan-

MALAYSIA'S CRISIS OF DEMOCRACY
SILENT’ MAJORITY: In GE13, seven million eligible voters decided that democracy is not worth the effortWITH the immediate dust of the 13th General Election having settled, life has resumed, for most, and many have written extensively and reflected critically on the significance of this election.
There is no doubt that this historic election has captivated the hearts, minds and the imaginations of many for what the future holds for us Malaysians as individuals, communities and the nation.
One issue that has escaped the attention of most is the existence of a "silent" majority of the electorate. These are eligible voters whom, although eligible, did not register to vote.
On the surface, their inactivity appears to be harmless, easily passed off as fence-sitters and almost oblivious to the political atmosphere. Delving deeper, however, shows that it is no trivial matter.
The number of votes garnered by both Barisan Nasional and Pakatan are approximately five million voters each, sizeable by any account. Consider, however, the size of this silent majority.
In mid-2011, four million voters that are eligible did not register. By 2012, these voters have grown to an estimated five million, despite the numerous countrywide registration campaigns held. However, a record breaking 2.2 million did register, which is certainly commendable.
But let us imagine that voting was made compulsory for all and that our ballots were initially, by default, crossed on a hypothetical I-Don't-Care-Enough Party, whereby turning up on election day is the only way to reselect our candidates of choice. The no-show of these five million will, by default, choose the I-Don't-Care-Enough Party.
This party is now in the same league as BN and Pakatan!
With the additional two million who registered but did not turn up on election day -- also choosing the I-Don't-Care-Enough Party by default as a result -- this party is now the real winner of GE13 with a popular vote of seven million voters!
But this I-Don't-Care-Enough Party is an oxymoron; they are simply indifferent, interested but not committed, silent or unwilling to engage in the issues at hand. In other words, apathy and spectatorism is now the true Malaysian ideology.
Although this hypothetical scenario seems too far-fetched, it does not change the fact that these seven million strong are, unfortunately, the real majority of this election. In GE13, four out of ten eligible voters have decided that democracy is not worth the effort.
The study of economics is the study of how rational human beings -- the extent of our understanding of rationality, actual or perceived, is debatable -- make decisions.
A cast vote is a decision made; an uncast vote is also a decision made.
The lack of engagement in the simplest form of democracy -- representation through elections -- though certainly not free from contamination -- by such a sizeable portion of eligible voters is a crisis of democracy by any standards.
Certainly there are other countries, either Asian or Western, rich or poor, which have regressed in a similar manner. But our Voting-Age-Population (VAP) turnout of less than 60 per cent -- ratio of those who voted to all eligible -- is the lowest among our Asean neighbours, according to International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA).
And yet we boast of a historic election when seven million, which is also a record number, cast invisible ballots on election day.
As Malaysia still struggles to free itself from its colonial past, race, religion and class-based identity, and moves towards a nation based on shared values, it needs the engagement from all Malaysians and not just a passionate few to bring the country forward. Getting our hands dirty in the process is necessary.
History describes all too well that vice is not found in passionate and sincere patriotism, but in the lack of moderation which can only be tempered with the engagement by all quarters: the majority and minorities, the urban and rural, the have and have-nots, the zealous and of course the spectators in the process of building, or rebuilding a nation.

berdasarkan artikel di atas, dianggarkan seramai 5 juta rakyat malaysia yg layak mengundi masih belum berdaftar sbg pengundi manakala seramai 2 juta orang pengundi berdaftar tidak mengundi pd pru13 yg lalu.....jadi adalah sangat disyorkan agar pihak suruhanjaya pilihanraya malaysia & jab pendaftaran negara melaksanakan sistem pendaftaran secara automatik bagi warganegara malaysia yg mencapai umur 21 tahun agar menjadi pengundi sah berdaftar agar setiap pengundi malaysia dapat mengundi secara lebih rasional & bertanggungjawab......bayangkan pada pru13 yg lalu seramai kira-kira 7 juta rakyat malaysia yg sepatutnya layak mengundi tetapi tak keluar mengundi !!! |
