Just days after coming out on national television in the Philippines, Charice shares another personal detail. The 21-year-old singer revealed she’s been in a relationship for months now with Alyssa Quijano. Charice declared, “She’s like my everything,” to journalists about her girlfriend.
The “Pyramid” singer has a tattoo on her chest which reads, “Let’s start with forever.” All you Twihards out there will no doubt recognize that line Robert Pattinson delivered during his wedding toast in The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part I. On Alyssa’s part, she wears a promise ring Charice gave to her.
Before they became involved, the two were once rivals often competing against each other at local singing competitions during their youth. Years later, they met again when Charice was a judge on The X Factor Philippines where Quijano competed. Alyssa didn’t make it far on the show but rebounded by joining the girl group AKA Jam. Manila, Philippines – Raquel Pempengco had spoken for the first time and had given her sentiments five days after Charice Pempengco came out as a lesbian.
In a press conference held at their Marikina residence on June 7, Friday, Raquel Pempengco, mother of Charice Pempengco, denied the allegations and clarifies that she had accepted her daughter’s sexuality.
According to Raquel, “she accepts her daughter as a lesbian.” She told to media that “she understands her daughter since she was also a lesbian before she gave birth to Charice but she choose her family over sexual preference.”
However, Raquel said to reporters that she feels like they were abandoned and rejected by the singer.
About Charice’s relationship with AKA Jam singer Alyssa Quijano, Raquel said “she cannot accept Quijano for personal reason.”
In the end, Raquel expressed her love and support to Charice.
