Shahrizat not called by MACC over investigations into 1Azam

[size=14.0040006637573px][size=14.0040006637573px]KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 19, 2013): Former women, family and community development minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has so far not been called by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to assist in the investigation into alleged misappropriation of funds under the power-eradication 1Azam programme. [size=14.0040006637573px]Welcoming the MACC investigation on the case, Shahrizat said the commission needed to be given space to probe the allegation. [size=14.0040006637573px]"Ultimately, it depends on the MACC's wisdom to make the appropriate decision based on the outcome of the investigation," she told reporters, here, today. [size=14.0040006637573px]Shahrizat, who is also Wanita Umno chief, was asked to comment on the arrest of a former political secretary to a former cabinet minister last Friday to assist in the investigation. – Bernama
