Barcelona ace Fran Merida has rejected the opportunity to sign for Liverpool and has instead signed for Arsenal.
The teenager made his debut for the Gunners in a pre-season friendly on Friday - and scored.
Dubbed the next Ronaldinho, Merida was wanted by Rafael Benitez along with Real Madrid's Esteban Granero.

Real Mallorca have approached Barcelona for striker Javier Saviola.
The deal is a long shot for Mallorca, with the Argie's £2.7 million-a-year demands well outside their wage structure.
Mallorca official Miquel Llado said: "He is a player who excites me and that any club would want. If it's possible to bring him, it would be a dream made into reality; but the club moves in limited economic parameters."
It's been revealed Levante were prepared to meet Saviola's wage demands, but the striker rejected the Primera new-boys.
