With the combination of Sukhoi-30 and 130km R-27s having a slightly bigger no-escape-zone than the AIM-120C-7 armed F-15s , Malaysia wont even have to sacrifice a single fighter.

2. Do we REALLy can afford to sacrifice 12 Su-30s?
3. Has anybody considered the role of RSAF's Hawkeye's
That is a good question.
What role exactly can AEWs play for singapore during an air battle with malaysia ?
Fighters need to acquire and lock on targets with their own radars before launching their missiles. And Singaporean fighter radars are all good enough for these tasks. F-15 radars could even be used as mini AWACS. Then what do they need AWACS planes for ?
They will just be just flying around waiting to be shot down without having contributed anything. Malaysian fighters wont even bother with these harmless flying coffins. Our air force would easily finish them off with cannon fire once they are done with Singaporean fighters. That is if the AEWs hadnt accidentally become victims of stray missiles during the fighter brawl.

According to one of the episodes of Dogfight on History channel, speed is the most important thing to any fighter pilot . |

Various sources state C7`s range at 130km as well. However, only the makers will know the truth. Singapore has 120C7s(more than enough C7s) in addition to C5s. Do you even have the R27ETs or R27ERs(R27ET`s rumored range is 120km/ R27ER`s rumored range is 130km) ? That is as good as me claiming that we have the even longer ranged 120Ds(rumored to be in excess of 180km)....
Nah.
If Singapore managed to order AIM-120D it will be all over the worlds newspapers already. The Malaysian govt on the other hand has never revealed our sukhois armament. Whatever appeared to be official reports out there are merely the personal opinion of ppl who reported them.

.. You can live in your fantasy world forever for all i care. Aerial fights are more complicated than the ridiculous scenario you have made up. It is folks like you who will inadvertently cause a conflict between two peaceful people when you wind up in government posts. There will be no war. The possibilty is that the two countries will fight together. And you should thank your lucky stars Singapore will be on your side when the shi,it hits the fan.
I wasnt joking when I said I am a peace monger. But that doesnt mean I dont want my country to settle differences diplomatically with our neighours from a position of strength.

kalo tak salah wa, cuma relevan dalam dogfights guna guns.
lagipon, sikalang yang paling desirable adalah manuverability, bukannya speed.

Hmm I wonder...
1. Why the USAF still operates E-3 Sentries...they have F-15s too you know?
2. Why the USN bother to upgrade their Hawkeyes?
3. Why oh why the Russians still operates their Mainstays even though their Flankers and Foxhounds have good radar?
4. And I scratched my head when thinking why the JASDF who also operates F-15s have Boeing E-767 in their fleet?
Ever heard something called 'battle management' (or something like that)? |

speed is extremely important to make sure you have a bigger no-escape-zone than the enemy.
BTW the f-18 has neither speed nor agility. |

Yes, something like that.
But a good 'battle management' advantage still can never compensate for a 'no-escape zone' disadvantage. |

No,
I am only sure there are no 100% correct versions.
I will only believe reports by credible local agencies like Bernama or certain relevant goverment official websites. So far they have reported nothing regarding the sukhois' missiles. |

AWACS is already irrelevant for countries with an inferior no-escape-zone against their nemesis, such as Singapore
and AWACS will become totally obsolete throughout the world when stealth fighters are deployed by air forces all over the world.
This scenario is only several years in the future. |

If so, don't you wonder why US fighter speed never exceed Mach 2.5 or even 2.3?
F-16- Mach 2.0
F-22- Mach 2.25
F/A-18- Mach 1.8
F/A-18 Super Hornet - Mach 1.8
only F-15 and F-14 has Max. speed of over Mach 2.3 and these are designed during the 1960s.
so are you telling me that USN and USAF have overlooked the fact that speed is extremely important to make sure they have a bigger no-escape-zone than the enemy?
take the case of F-18 has "has neither speed nor agility". let see its combat record shall we...
The Hornets shot down two MiGs and resumed their bombing run, each carrying four 2,000 lb bombs, before returning to USS Saratoga. -wikipedia |

Bro, the F-18 is not for dog fight ie F16, MIG29 or sekelas dengannya which has more speed & agility but more to maritime and night strike my friend. So get your fact right. |
