BEWARE, ANOTHER CREDIT CARD SCAM!
Another credit card scam has recently emerged, whereby the victim receives a call from someone who claims to be from Visa or MasterCard. In most cases, the victim is reeled in by the following script…
Caller:This is (name) and I’m calling from the Security and Fraud Department at Visa. My badge number is (number). Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern, and I’m calling to verify. This would be your Visa card that was issued by (name of bank). Did you purchase a (product) for (price) from a marketing company based in (place)?
Victim: No.
Caller: Then we will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges are just under the RM… are flagged.
before you next statement, the credit card will be sent to (gives victim’s address), is that correct?
Victim: Yes.
Caller: I will be starting a fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the1-800 number listed on the back of your card and ask for Security. You will need to refer to this control number (gives 6-digit number). Do you need me to read it again?
Here’s the important part on how the scam works…
I need to verify you are in possession of your card. Please turn your card over. There
are 7 numbers; the last 3 numbers are the security numbers that verify you are still in
possession of your card. Please read the 3 numbers to me, as I needed to verify that
your card is still with you.
Victim: (reads out the last 3 numbers)
Caller: That is correct. Do you have any other questions?
Victim: No.
Caller: Thank you. Don’t hesitate to call back if you do (and ends the call).
The caller is suave and solicitous. He readily throws in his ID ‘name’ and ‘badge number’ to build trust and lull victims into a false sense of security. The victims actually say very little, but once they reveal the last 3 digits, they are sure to lose.
So beware and if you receive such a call, just bear in mind this reality: the real Visa or MasterCard will NEVER ASK FOR ANYTHING ON YOUR CARD…because they already have the information since they issued the card in the first place!
so bg yg belum penah terkena/terjumpe situation cmni just beware ok.. |

sebenarnya aku pernah sekali ( dulu La ..masa belum pandai pasal CC ni )...dapat call camgini...mmg ada terbagi 3 digit kat belakang kad tu...entah mcmana tergerak hati nak call Bank utk Verify samada caller tu buat panggilan dr Bank atau Apa....the moment i told them about those 3 Dgit yg dah terlepas ke Caller tadi,,,terus CSO Bank berkenaan bgtahu.." So we need to cancel your card immediately Mr.............., This is very serious case as the caller with those 3 digit are now able to use your card for any internet transaction..."...Pehtu dia check dan bgtahu belum ada transaction yg berlaku...
Pehtu dia bgtahu .." It's very fortunate of you sir that you inform us about it soonest , otherwise , we have no idea what will be happening to your card , maybe your next statement will show Huge Transaction from............."... |

yg kita ni,dgr je dr bank,n si penipu ni siap bg nama n i.d bagai(yg sebenanye x wujud tu)
cepat je percaya.kdg2 pulak,kite konon2 dah beringat,tp sbb dpt call masa tgh busy ke,so
main iyakan je or trus je bg ape yg diorang nak tanpa syak..
diorang ni mmg licik,so kita as consumer mesti kene xtra licik satu level lg dr dorang.. |

sebenarnya derang ni study cara bagaimana nak dapatkan 3 digit tu...mcm2 taktik digunakan...bg yg tak pernah ada pengalaman...biasanya akan terperangkap...dan biasanya mereka percaya yg caller2 lahanat tu merupakan staff dr Bank tersebut....

ai penah dpt call camni...3 hari je dpt cc theyols call..cam haraammmm...pehtu ai terbg no cc ai plak tu..masa ni ai naif sket..tatau lg..pehtu seminggu kemudian tgk theyols dh masukkan charge rm300 dlm akaun cc ai..terus ai hangin pasal ai ckp ai xnak..tp dh terbg nombor cc tuh...terus ai call nombor tu balik maki2...pehtu theyols xmo tarik blik..ai ngadu kat maybk pasal ai guna cc maybk..terus isi form bagai..then lastly lpas penat maki2 bagai...theyols tarik balik rm300 tu..settle...fuhh...klu dpt call gini lg ai dh prepare nk maki siap2 jah...kat customer service cc mybk hampir2 ai nk maki pasal camne theyols blh tahu kita amik cc dr dia..no hp kita bagai..dh la kaco org tgh meetg..sengal tul lahhhhhhhhh...mesti maybk ada bocor kan maklumat bagai...ai tny kat cs tuh...camne theyols dpt no hp ai bagai??pehtu dia jwb theyols pun tgh siasat...entah la smpi ble la benda2 ni nk berakhir..besok2 ai tukar cc or amik cc lain..sure dpt lg call gini..ntah hape2...:@ |

surat balasan mmg aku tak terima...bah kan tak dapat call pun kenapa aku nak terminate...kalau Bank lain mebe derang akan call ( sbg Contoh Ctbank---3 hari lepas aku htr surat nak terminate Kad ( bukannya ada rekod buruk pun derang ngan aku )...derang punya pujuk....alahai....buat cair tulang aku....siap bgtahu yg annual fee tiap2 tahun waive la....naikkan LOC aku le )....lastt2 termakan gak pujuk rayu derang...

bergantung anies...kalau buat lagi bagus....kalau x nak pun takder hal....tp kene bgtahu derang....kalau buat surat.....pergi ke mana2 cawangan bank tersebut...mintak derang verify + potong kad + cop kat surat ( salinan ) kita tu....apa2 hal ada bukti... |

aku ada pengalaman ngan EON pasal mende ni...kad dah terminate bulan 2....siap cop + sign + kad Potong kat EON bank cawangan Yow CHuan plaza masa tu...tup2 dapat call dr bank dlm Bulan 7 ( lepas 5 bulan ) yg masih ada oustanding dlm RM250++...apo laie...aku siap fax kan surat tu ke CSO EON Bank dan terus depa ngaku silap...
So better wat cara ni Anies...walaupun susah skit sbb nak kene pergi cawangan bank tersebut tp it really worth ot...berbaloi2..in case apa2 berlaku in the future..we have evidence.. |
