erkkss...punya banyak thread tapi tak ramai yg posting. sherrina tak tau kewujudan genre seperti ini. Tapi bila baca citer pasal malaikat yg bawak kapak besar tu rasa best pula. apa endingnya? ada URL utk dapatkan story2 seperti ini. storyline agak berbeza dr yg biasa tapi yg beza itu yg mencabar utk diteroka  |

It's comforting to hear that there're people out there who indeed like South American literature. I think Garcia-Marquez is a brilliant writer. "Love in the Time of Cholera" is one of my favourite books (although it is very difficult to compare this with Hugo's "Les Miserables"). Besides this, I have only read "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and "Of Love and Other Demons". Apart from Garcia-Marquez, I think Isabel Allende is a very good writer too. "The House of Spirits" is fantastic, although it's very dark, but I highly recommend it. Also, watch out for her memoir titled "My Invented Country", which has just been published this year. Not only it discusses the many aspects of lives in Chile pre- and post-Pinoche, it also describes how she feels being both an American and a Chilean. Two thumbs up for this one! I have yet to read the biography of Gracia-Marquez! |
