Alibi to say that he was elsewhere when the alleged defamatory statement was made? That would mean that he's denying he said it by way proving that he wasn't present when the statement was made? I think not because Ling released an official and signed press statement saying he will not apologise for the statement he made. In any case, alibi may not be suitable for a defamation suit.

I sure hope the plaintiff does not apply for a summary judgment once again in this defamation suit. It would be a rather awkward move as defamation suits are some of the more contentious suits around, don't you think?
