aku anti betul kalo guna taktik 1 striker tapi player yg ada ntah apa2.. lone striker tu best tapi forward players biarlah yg mantap2.. kalo ada abg gigi-Kaka-Totti kat tengah tu baru laa syok main lone striker... :cak:

Luciano Spalletti seems set to exclude David Pizarro from the Roma side for this week抯 Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Coach is understood to be unhappy with the Chilean抯 reaction to his substitution against Livorno, when he stormed off the pitch.

The player apologised to his teammates after a long conversation with the tactician on Sunday, but that wasn抰 enough for him to avoid being fined by the club.

Roma made a splendid start to their Champions League campaign by thrashing Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0, including a Francesco Totti gem. They now lead Group D on goal difference, as Valencia won 4-2 away to Olympiakos.

The Giallorossi entered the Champions League via Calciopoli and began their campaign on home turf against Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk. (amik quota fiorentina ni.. ) There were some familiar faces to Serie A viewers, such as ex-Brescia Coach Mircea Lucescu and former Napoli midfielder Francelino Matuzalem. David Pizarro was dropped following his ill-tempered reaction to a substitution this week.

Tymoschuk's free kick was off target and a Francesco Totti-Simone Perrotta combination was closed down for a corner. Roma were lucky to escape on 13 minutes when Brandao was clear in front of Alexander Doni only to sidefoot wide.

Rodrigo Taddei hooked down a searching Totti pass, but couldn't make the most of it, and Alberto Aquilani drilled past the post. Totti also set up a Perrotta opportunity only for his shot to be just over the bar from a tight angle.

Daniele De Rossi was pin-pointed as the danger man by Shakhtar boss Lucescu ahead of this match and his header was wide of the target.

Doni was tested when Brandao managed to deflect a Marica cross, but the goalkeeper did well to parry. Brandao was a constant threat and just failed to get on the end of a promising Elano centre.

Tymoschuk was booked earlier for a foul on Aquilani and was fortunate not to receive his marching orders for a handling offence.

Amantino Mancini almost snatched the opener for Roma before the break, but his trademark run down the left flank and shot were unsuccessful. Taddei also curled an intriguing left-foot strike inches past the far post.

Shutkov rushed out to close Max Tonetto's pass off the foot of Mancini, then the Brazilian wasted a good run with a poor strike. Yet Marica remained a thorn in Roma's side and fired wide after skipping past three players.

Brandao wasted a promising counter-attack by scuffing his effort when Marica was clear alongside him.

David Pizarro replaced Aquilani and Roma broke through soon after. Tonetto's cross missed Totti, but Taddei was ready to control with his left foot and fire under the crossbar with his right from close range.

Matuzalem's left-foot strike was just over the bar and the ex-Napoli man suffered an injury during that move.

Roma were more confident in this second half and made it 2-0 in spectacular fashion. The lively Tonetto earned a corner kick and Totti made another step on the road to recovery with a splendid curling finish from just inside the area that slammed into the far top corner before the goalkeeper had time to move.

Shakhtar fell to pieces and the Giallorossi continued their rout with a powerful De Rossi header on substitute Pizarro's cross.

Pizarro made his mark on the game and went some way to winning back the Roma fans' hearts with their fourth goal, a powerful rising right-foot effort from 22 metres
