Shinhwa's Eric shares his complex about his own features.
Onthe April 11 broadcast of MBC's Section TV, Eric - who has always beenviewed as a gorgeous hunk with well-sculpted feature - said that he hasa complex about his features, "As I have a protruding mouth, I looklike MC Yoo Jae Suk in photos where I put on glasses".
Eric even spilled some Shinhwa secrets. When asked, "Does any member use height-increasing soles?", he confessed, "All of us."
Headded, "In the past we all used height-increasing soles, but Dongwanand Minwoo were unhappy since there was no point in doing so ifeveryone did that, so the other members stopped using the soles", muchto the amusement of the studio crew.
Shinhwa held their 10thanniversary concert on 29th and 30th March, and when shown picturesfrom Shinhwa's early years, Eric - who was visibly moved and promisedthe fans that Shinhwa will stay together "for the next 20 to 30 years,even until death" - said that "It feels like I'm looking at my sons, Ican't believe it's already been 10 years."
Other than theconcert, Shinhwa has also released their 9th album after an absence of1 year and 10 months. The album includes the main track 'Run', and alsotracks written by members Lee Minwoo and Eric.

The hefty wedding gifts from singer-cum actor Eric have become a hot topic.
WhenJung Seon Hee guested on MBC's Come and Play recently, she disclosedthat Eric had given her and her husband Ahn Jae Hwan a big gift of 1million won for their wedding. She said, "Eric attended my wedding as aguest, but I got a big shock when I saw the amount of his wedding gift.We're not particularly close, but yet he gave us such a big gift. We'revery grateful and when we were talking on the phone he said, 'Nuna,that's nothing compared to what I feel in my heart.' He was very sweet."
HostKim Won Hee also affirmed that, saying "Eric gave me a million won formy wedding too", surprising everyone on the set. She added jokingly,"In future if you are going to hold your wedding, please make sure Ericis free to attend before you decide on the date", to the laughter ofeveryone present.

Kim Dongwan is currently being hospitalized due to acute gasteroenteritis and intestinal infarction, mainly caused by stress.
KimDongwan was in a recording studio in Gangnam on 11 April preparing forhis 2nd album when he collapsed due to abdominal pains. Staff from hismanagement company said, "He was diagnosed with acute gasteroenteritisand intestinal infarction, and he is currently receiving treatment inhospital. Though he is due to be discharged on 15 April, we'll stillhave to carefully monitor his condition."
Kim Dongwan has beenhaving overnight recording sessions for his upcoming 2nd album, and thestress has caused his health to deteriorate. Originally slated forrelease on 24 April, H2 Entertainment has decided to hold off therelease until he has fully recovered.
The spokesperson alsoadded, "He has been under a lot of stress because of his own album, aswell as preparing for the 10th anniversary concert and 9th album forShinhwa. We're planning to release his album in early May when he hasfully recovered. He's sorry to make everyone worried, and he willdefinitely appear soon in front of everyone all healthy."

SingerLee Minwoo is always greedy for more, and he never stops anting more.He has recently made an investment in a music institute, and looksevery bit the entrepreneur.
Everyone starts with a littlesomewhere, but it's not anyone who can go on and succeed. But Shinhwa'sLee Minwoo seems to be addicted to success, and he'd set very highexpectations for himself in everything that he does. He makes sure thatall his potential is fully realised and he never gives up whencompeting with others.
Minwoo started dancing when he was five,and by the time he reached his teens he had already become famous inhis hometown of Jeonju for his dancing skills. He then moved to Seouland made his debut into the entertainment world.
Minwoo's notthe most eyecatching among the 6 members of Shinhwa. He's alwayspractising his dance moves quietly, and holes up in his studio to makemusic. Recently he even proved to be an able concert planner. He wasthe first to set up his own company, M Rising, among the members, andlast year the company made 900 million won in revenue.
Even now,Minwoo is still radiating his passion and charisma wherever he is.Sitting together at a table with Minwoo and his soju, the femalereporters are charmed by his tough charisma, while the male reportersare amazed about how astute his financial judgement is. Debut Adventures
▲ When did you start dancing?
I learnt to dance like Michael Jackson when I was five. From then until my debut, it really feels like a TV drama.
▲ Wow, what kind of a story would it be if it was a drama?
(Takesa big sip of soju) When I was in my second year of high school, me andtwo other hyungs wanted to the second Seo Taiji & The Boys, so weoften practised together. When I was in senior high we went to Seoul,and that was the first time I saw Position and Turbo. We even sawpeople practising for the audition in the bathhouse. One of the hyungs'uncle was a composer, and he even saw someone practising with a chairin a tearoom. It's quite hilarious thinking about it now, but I wentback to Jeonju deciding to return for the audition a year later.
▲So you went back home?
Idid, and I formed a 4-man dance group called Dicky Ducky with 3 otherfriends. Back then in Jeonju, I was already like an artiste, I was likethe Jang Woo Hyuk of H.O.T then (laughs). We were doing so well backthen that the brands that sponsored HOT were ready to sponsor us too.We had our own appearance schedules too.
▲ Wow, how much were your appearance fees then?
About200,000 won. When we liaised with the parties I'd tell them, "There's 4of us, please give us an even number so that we can split the fees."Since senior high I was making my own living.
▲ When was the next time you went to Seoul?
Iwent to Seoul in my 2nd year of senior high. The uncle who was acomposer warned me, "This path is very rocky, it's dirty but it'sspectacular too." I made a lot of preparations for it, I suffered fromfood poisoning and malnutrition too. I spent 3 months like this, andone day when I opened my eyes I realized that the hyungs disappearedand just left a note behind. (Pauses for a moment) They even took my200,000 won allowance with them.
▲ Omo, weren't you betrayed then? How did you become part of Shinhwa in the end?
Infact I wanted to give up my dream of becoming a singer. But there was amember of Dicky Ducky who was going to take part in the Everland dancecompetition, so I just gave it a shot. Rather than having a shot atbecoming a singer, I was really more attracted by the cash prize of 3million won. I went for it feeling very confident, but we forgot tobring the CD. I searched through many CD stores but we couldn't findthe right CD. In the end we managed to find one last copy at a store inthe amusement park. You know how it is in comics when there's a glowradiating from something precious? It was like that then, the CD wewanted just came into sight. We had to beg the organizers to let ustake part, in the end we made it. There were 800 teams participating inthat competition.
▲ It's the drama of all dramas. Of course you won the competition then.
Afterthat, SM Entertainment's Kim Kyung Woo gave me his namecard. He boughtus dinner, and even brought us around the SM office. It felt like adream. When he told us to make a demo tape I even asked him "what's ademo tape?", but we recorded a tape in the noraebang anyway. Out offour of us there, SM was going to sign only two. On the day of thefinal selection all the SM trainees came to watch us. That was thefirst time I met the SES members-to-be Bada, Shoo and Eugene, and myfellow Shinhwa groupmates-to-be Andy, Shin Hyesung and Eric. Andy hadhis hair all slicked back, and looked even older than me (laughs).Hyesung was wearing his shades and just peered through the shades toacknowledge me. Honestly I was thinking "Omo, he looks arrogant"(laughs again). Eric was wearing a sky blue baseball cap that day, andhe looked like a nice person. 1997 started like that for me.
Respect for H.O.T
▲ Shinhwa's 10 years started like that.
Whenthe members get together we're just like brothers. We said before atthe 10th anniversary concert that we're actually even closer than realbrothers.
▲ Aren't there conflicts between the members?
Inthe beginning we argued a lot. But now after such a long time, wealready know each other's strong points very well, and we trust eachother a lot. I'm in charge of the music and stage direction, and Ericguides the general direction of the group. Dongwan brings up issuesfrom the point of view of a fan. In fact I'm very thankful to Jin andAndy. As the younger brothers, though they have their own ideas theywill still go along with us. That's how we have the Shinhwa of today.
▲ Since you started off in the same company, there have been a great deal of comparison to H.O.T
WhenI started writing songs Jae Won helped me a great deal. People may feelthat there's rivalry between the two groups but we have never thoughtabout that. The relationship between us and H.O.T is not competitive,they are in fact a group that we really respect.
▲ The members cried at the end of the 10th anniversary concert.
Itreally felt very sad. (Eyes moisten a little) Honestly I didn't expectto be so moved. 10 years really have passed. (Pauses) At that time Ifelt from the bottom of my heart that I'm a really lucky and blessedguy.
The Detective Conan of the countryside
▲ How was it like at home when you were young?
Mydad's business failed, so we weren't doing well. My mom kept thingsgoing by starting a beauty salon, and my dad also started rearing bees.My dad's really strong, he used to be a wrestler actually. Looking backI was like Detective Conan. A young Detective Conan of the countryside(laughs). Although we were poor but I still loved to look foradventures and I loved animals.
▲ Looks like you have a very strong survival instinct
I'vebeen quite interested in financial management lately. I bought my dad ahouse, and that was the biggest expenditure I've ever made since I mademy debut 10 years aso. It's near Cheonggyecheon, and the view issuperb. My dad doesn't really express himself, so he just said "It'spretty good". But as a son that's more than enough for me.
▲ Seems like you're really close to your family. Have you thought about setting up your own family?
Mydad was saying that settling down at 38 would be too late. Marriage andlove requires the right timing. It will be perfect if it's someone whocan understand my life.
▲ You're 30 this year, how do you feel about that?
Iended my 20s splendidly as a singer. As I step into my 30s I want tostart on my other dreams, and my career will be my focus. Using myname, I want to create an environment with a lively performance culture.

Minwoo to hold concerts in China
April 15, 2008
Shinhwa member Lee Minwoo is holding his first solo concert in China in May.
The concert, entitled “M Live in Shanghai,” will be held on May 2-3 at the Shanghai International Gymnastics Center and 10,000 Chinese fans are expected to go see Minwoo in the two concert dates.
“This is the first time Lee Minwoo and not as part of Shinhwa, is holding a large-scale performance in China. Ticket sale opens on the 17th via a local organizer but 90% of the tickets are already reserved,” Open World Entertainment revealed.
Meanwhile, after China, Lee Minwoo is going to hold concerts in Seoul on May 30-31.

Lee Min-woo (M) to Hold First Solo Concert in Shanghai
Lee Min-woo (M), a solo artist as well as a member of the group Shinhwa, will hold his first concert in China.
Lee will perform in front of some ten thousand Chinese fans at the International Gymnastics Center in Shanghai for two days from May 2. The concert will be held under the title "M, Live in Shanghai."
Open World Entertainment said this will be the first time Lee will perform solo at a large-scale concert in China without the rest of the Shinhwa members. The company said 90 percent of the tickets have already been sold since April 17.
After his China concert, he will hold another concert in Seoul for two days from May 30.
