ntah... aku tak amik tau secara mendalam mcm ni... tapi different body memang different focusing speed... samada pakai motor atau tak tu aku tak sure... tapi nak dapat combination yg optimum kena best dua2 part ie body and lens...
contoh;
a) 1dm3 + EF50mm f/1.8 (dc) vs 1dm3 + EF50mm f/1.4 (usm) => body sama tapi lain lens
b) 10D + EF50mm f/1.8 (dc) vs 1dm3 + EF50mm f/1.8 (dc) => lens sama tapi lain body
dari contoh kat atas tu, keempat2 combination tu akan bagi result yg berbeza... even kita guna lens dgn spec yg sama tapi different motor pun (cthnya Canon EF28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 USM/non-USM) akan bagi result yg berbeza walaupun sama body... |

untuk simple 2-colour frame/border (macam yg aku biasa buat) aku cuma pakai function 'stroke' je (Edit > Stroke) |

Btw, soulfly punya pasal aku carik gak la info pasal focusing system Canon...
So, kat bawah ni serba sedikit infor pasal focusing pada Canon punya lens... dapat dipahamkan yang focusing motor utk EOS camera memang pada lensnya sahaja... pada body memang takde... cuma signal2 focusing tu saja dihantar ke body...
Ok, so kalau focusing bergantung pada body je, kenapa pulak aku kata tadi focusing speed bergantung pada dua2 part ie lens & body kan...? Sebabnya kat body tu pulak, lain body lain focusing systemnya... maknanya signl2 dari lens yg aku cakap tadi bila sampai ke body, mcmana pulak cara body tu process... -> "the three autofocus system feature common to all EOS cameras i.e a) fast focusing, b) strong performance in low light and c) high focusing precision..." Body akan process signal2 tu mengikut focusing point at the focus sensor and algoritthm... bla bla bla kira2 mcm programming atau software kat komputer la kan... kalau komputer power, sotfwarenya lemau tak guna jugak kan...

No EOS camera has a focus motor in the body. There is no need for it, as all EF and EF-S lenses have a focus motor in the lens.
All EF and EF-S lenses do have focus motors. They have to, otherwise they would not be able to auto focus.

When Nikon introduced their first autofocus SLR in 1988, they elected to stay with the existing F mount, adding a mechanical linkage from the lens' focusing ring to a focusing motor inside the camera. Canon took a radically different approach with their 1987 introduction of the EOS autofocus SLR cameras. Rather than attempting to maintain backwards compatibility with their existing manual focus cameras, Canon's engineers designed an entirely new lens mount that was not compatible with the company's previous manual focus (FL-mount) lenses.
The switch to a new lens mount was a bold move that angered many Canon devotees, but the Canon EF (for "Electronic Focus";) mount was a radical step in the right direction. Unlike Nikon's F-mount, Canon EF lenses don't have any mechanical linkage between the camera and lens. Instead, each lens has its own internal focusing motor, controlled via the camera's CPU through a set of gold-plated contacts on the back of the lens.
Moving the focus motor into the lens makes camera bodies lighter, smaller, and less expensive to manufacture, although it does add to the cost of the lenses. It also provides faster focusing and better battery life. More importantly, the motor-in-lens design allows lens designers to choose the focusing motor best suited to the individual lens. Canon has gone through several motor design iterations since the original EOS. The USM (Ultra Sonic Motor) motor used in most current Canon lenses is silent, lightweight, and incredibly fast, even on low-end Canon SLRs.
Nikon's engineers know a goodthing when they see it. In 2000, Nikon introduced the first of a seriesof AF-S (Autofocus-Silent Wave) lenses. Like the Canon USM lenses,Nikon's AF-S lenses use a high-tech traveling wave focusing motormounted inside the lens. Nikon currently offers 9 AF-S lenses. LikeCanon's USM lenses, they are fast and silent, but Nikon only offersAF-S in their most expensive lenses.

mm ... aku nye camera baru je rosak. baru pakai setahun. tengah2 pakai tiba2 dia jam. tak leh focus. lampu merah nyala je.. tekan apa pun tak leh. can off or on je..
then kalau aku "bernasib baik" dia akan amik gambar sendiri 
fyi aku guna canon powershot A640. and pernah terjatuh hari tu.. mm.. terlepas keluar dari beg.. (
ada tak sapa2 penah mengalami benda2 cam ni? and agak2 mahal tak nak repair? |
