I'am a duckie. And komen i pasal duck cosmetics, it's overrated. I bought lip matte dia and i think it's not really worth it. Mcm typical local lipmatte yang belambak kat pasaran. But i've tried on dia punya lipstick and i think i'm gonna like it cuma tak beli sbb the color yg i nak tu habis. |

heee..u sama macam I...I bought their LE dulu2 masa awal keluar...then bila sale i bought the plains kira byk la jugak utk org freehair..sbb saja2 mengumpul (cursed myself, tp pikir nanti boleh jual balik...gituh).
lepas tu iols perasan harga makin lama makin naik esp KL punya. kalau nak naik harga naik jelah yang new LE. mcm tak sincere plk rasanya meniaga macam tu. so iols pun stop la membeli(tp still tengok2 jgk cuci mata  ).
cosmetic ni tak tertarik langsung, bila keluar je harga lagila tak tertarik. tengok colours kat palette tu mcm tak masuk sgt dgn org kulit tan2, olive2 ni. pastu yang pelik takde swatches pun kt ig dia. bila tengok orang review...hmmm padanla. so utk make up dgn harga dan kualiti macam tu, i pangkah.

Haih. I mintak maaf siap2 la pd TinV fans, but I still can't fathom why do a lot of people idolise her. I mean, she came from money, married money - it's just that she has a flair for business. She pioneered start-ups in Malaysia (sort of). But that's it. Nothing out of ordinary. Even now when she's starting to behave a bit like an airhead pon, I began to wonder if she really IS the brain behind the company.
I even see her business practices has the tendency to be tad bit predatory. I mean, sure everyone has a choice whether to buy or not - but the way she projected the nouveau riche lifestyle to Malaysian female population who are mostly bourgeoisie, is kind of manipulative & in fact, deceptive.
I dunno. Maybe I'm way too middle-class to understand all this hype kot.

hari ni ada launch duck cosmetic kat store dia eh? i tengok yang datang duckies semua sama je gaya dorang. sampai i rasa mcm scary pun ada sbb i tengok macam satu kumpulan yang dah di set how the look.  |

i pernah keje cc ctr. i jaga npl acc. mostly yg hutang ni muda2. since that i tkt nk guna cc. now i ada sb sng nk bl bnd yg xnak kacau gaji and i know my limit sb i pnh keje cc ctr. i yes, i nak ccris i cantik bukan payment sahaja tp hutang juga |

Fuyoooooo  tu mmg gila. 20k hutang cc sampai bila nak habis bayar tu? Unless bayar bln2 2k okla, setahun boleh habis. Tp duck pun launch new release sebulan 2-3x kan. Bayar 2k pun tak guna, sbb bayar 2k tambah plak lg 2k kalau setiap new duck release nak beli serba satu semua color  |

You've got some solid points there. In fact, I've long had this teeny tiny suspicion that a huge chunk of FV's profit comes from the sales of duck alone and they are squeezing every little bit they can out of it while duck is still relevant in the market. It would be interesting to see if they hit a saturation point like Fareeda did. But then the top brains of FV are smart, they are already preparing for that by expanding the products under the duck brand name; solely capitalizing on the huge cult-like fan base  |

I think she's well aware of that but since people are really into the brand, she might as well just go for it (launch more business line, more expensive products) Because at the end of the day business will always be business. She doesn't even care la whether you can afford it or not kan. Dulu kwn i pernah cakap duCkies nak buat some kind of petition for the brand to lower down the price especially to the loyal customers but it will never happen la. Quality pun makin teruk mana dia kisah pun. |
