pernah duk jb sat, kena transfer sana. mula dgr kena transfer, uwaaaaaaaa nangis. bila dah gi sana, uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa nangis lagi. dlm nangis2 tuh 5 tahun gak sana. Alhamdulillah dah dpt tukar. harap2 tak kena tukar sana lagi.

now jiran lama jemput kenuri rumah dia. mak aku sebok ajak pegi. bercinta gak fikir nak gi nih, letih tul. mebi aku tak dpt enjoy jb sgt coz aku tak pakai kereta masa kat sana dulu. tp bila terfikir nak kena bawak kereta kat jb, rasa nak nangis lagi

ai.. i stay kat jb ok jer.. apa nya yg susah... jln pun tak jammed.. parkin pun tak full klu weekend.. kl lagi ler sesak..

a-ah, ntah ler nafer jadi rasa cam tu kalau pasal jb. kalau dibanding facts fhanem memang mcm ok dari kl ajer kan semer.

tapi dah memang perasaan nye gitu. eh tapi ye ke tak jem? dulu member2 pejabat, ramai yg berebut nak shift 7.30...kuar rumah pun masing2 b4 6.30. sruper mcm kl ni ajer le pulak.

kalau tgh2 bndr, kat area city sq tuh sesak gak kan. lagi pun ye la, dulu asek guna public transport, mcm kurang user friendly sikit la tmpt2 menunggu nih. mebi coz sempit sgt, dan kereta lak banyak kat situ, jadi kurang space untuk pedestrians

baru pulang dari jb ... yang ketara sangat org jb nie kuat sembelih, teksi nya kuat sembelih, terminal bas banyak kutu sembelih, membeli belah jangan cerita lah ... lbanyak kota yang dah pernah pergi ... jb adalah tempat yang paling teruk sekali... lebih rasa selamat di singapura.

memang dah taubat nak pi jb lagi ... yang pasti i will not go to jb for transit ... terus naik bas or kapal terbang ke singapura ... lebih murah dah mudah.

DAERAH JOHOR BAHRU

Johor Bahru sebelum ini dikenali dengan nama Tanjung Puteri. Walau bagaimanapun Sultan Abu Bakar telah menamakannya sebagai Johor Bahru sewaktu baginda mengisytiharkannya sebagai ibu negeri Johor pada tahun 1866. Pada 1 Januari 1994, Johor Bahru telah diisytiharkan sebagai sebuah bandaraya dan Dato Hashim Yahya telah dilantik menjadi Datuk Bandar yang pertama. Johor Bahru merupakan ibu negeri Johor dan menjadi pusat pentadbiran Kerajaan Negeri. Ia juga adalah pusat perindustrian, logistik dan perdagangan yang penting di negeri ini. Industri pelancongan merupakan salah satu sumber pendapatan terbesar yang menjana ekonomi Johor Bahru.

Daerah ini dibahagikan kepada empat seliaan kerajaan tempatan iaitu Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (MBJB), Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru Tengah (MBJBT), Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan Pasir Gudang (PTPG) dan Majlis Perbandaran Kulai.

Tempat-Tempat Menarik

Sektor pelancongan di daerah Johor Bahru adalah antara sumber utama ekonomi daerah ini. Pelbagai tempat menarik dan kemudahan pelancongan yang terdapat di sini bagi menarik minat pengunjung untuk terus berkunjung di sini.

Danga Bay merupakan tempat yang kian popular di Johor Bahru. Ia merupakan salah satu destinasi pelancongan yang semakin dikenali ramai.

Gunung Pulai

Satu-satunya hutan simpan yang terdekat dengan Johor Bahru ialah Hutan Simpan Gunung Pulai. Ia dibuka untuk orang ramai dan amat sesuai untuk aktiviti perkelahan ataupun bersantai bersama keluarga. Pokok-pokok yang tinggi melampai dan irama unggas rimba mengamit kedatangan para pengunjung di sini.. Keindahan air terjun Gunung Pulai merupakan tarikan utama hutan simpan ini. Air Terjun Gunung Pulai mempunyai 3 peringkat; yang terbesar ialah peringkat kedua setinggi 15 meter. Terdapat juga kolam buatan manusia yang sesuai untuk pengunjung bermandi-manda dan berkelah di peringkat pertama dan kedua.

Pengunjung yang cintakan kehijauan alam akan terpesona melihat keindahan alam semulajadi serta hidupan liar di Gunung Pulai. Dibajai oleh sungai dan tanpa ganguan manusia, flora dan fauna mewarnai kehidupan di Gunung Pulai.

Bagi mereka yang gemar berkhemah pula, kawasan perkhemahan juga disediakan. Bermula dari kaki gunung melalui peringkat pertama dan kedua air terjun, berjalan dicelah-celah hutan tropika dan berakhir di peringkat ketiga air terjun adalah satu pengalaman yang tidak dapat dilupakan oleh mereka yang gemar merentas hutan. Setelah penat seharian meredah hutan, mereka bolehlah beristirehat di kawasan perkhemahan yang disediakan

This is Singapore's Malaysian sister city across the strait, Johor Bahru. Seen as we walk across the causeway that connects it to Singapore.

(You don't have to walk, but it's a 30+ minute wait for the bus and a 20 minute walk so...)

Here's a view from the reverse direction (i.e. JB to Singapore). I'm actually on the room of Hotel Eden located in Stulang Laut, JB.

The ferry terminal on the pictures serves a ferry transportation from Stulang Laut to Batam and Bintan, Indonesia. They used to have a ferry to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore. But the service has since been seized by the Singapore authority due to some political reason.

It's supposed to be a non-smoking foodcourt. Well, a smoker always unite as some would say. A couple of guys starts lighting up in the air-conditioned foodcourt......well, I just help myself to a cigarette which made sha_stallion worried being caught by the authority....hehehe!! She was eager to leave and made sure I'm done with my fag.

Johor Bahru

Overview of Johar Bahru :

Known as the southern gateway, Johor is the third largest state in peninsular Malaysia. Covering an area of 19,984 sq. km. at the southern part of the peninsular, it is bounded by the states of Pahang to the north, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan to the west, and the Straits of Johor to the south.

Johor is one of the most developed states in the country, and its economy is based on a mix of agriculture, manufacturing commerce and tourism. It is a prime producer of rubber, oil palm and pineapple .Its new port at Pasir Gudang on the Straits of Johor is fast developing into an important international port.

The rich mix of culture is reflected in the various places of worship - the magnificent mosques, temples and churches existing side by side. It is also evident in the various foods and local delicacies, the colourful and enchanting costumes, festivals, ceremonies and rituals.

Places of Interest

State Secretariat Building
The building was built in 1940 and is located on a hill called Bukit Timbalan. Its columns and pillars are designs of Saracenic architecture. The building, which is a symbol of progressive and modern Johor, commands a magnificent view of the Straits of Johor. Visitors may find the Grand Hall particularly interesting. The whole building covers 11 floors above the ground and it houses 46 government offices and departments. During World War II, the Japanese occupied the building as a fortress and a store dump when planning attacks on neighbouring Singapore.

Sultan Abu Baker Mosque
A famed landmark, this century-old mosque is said to be one of the most beautiful in Malaysia. It was completed in 1900, a few years after the death of the Sultan it is named after. It look eight years to build and can accommodate 2,000 worshippers. It is located on spacious grounds overlooking the Straits of Johor and Singapore. Locals put up stalls selling souvenirs and handicrafts.

The Grand Palace and Royal Abu Bakar Museum
The beautiful palace was commissioned by Sultan Abu Bakar, who laid the foundation stone in 1864. One of the oldest buildings in Johor, it has a cosmopolitan architecture with clear Anglo-Malay influence. Today the palace assumes an additional role as the Royal Abu Bakar Museum, displaying treasures of the royal collection.

Dataran Bandarya

Dataran Bandaraya or City Square, was officially opened on 31 December 1993 by the Sultan of Johor. A much sought after venue for public events like parades and stage shows, this popular tourist attraction comprises a large stage, a minaret, a fountain and a clock tower reputed to be the biggest in the region. It also boasts of the tallest flag staff in the state. A mega video screen has been installed for visitors to view live transmissions.

The other attractions of Johor Bahru include Johor Art Gallery, that houses all the discovered and historical items such as documents and cultural artifacts traditionally used by Malays, particularly from the State of Johor, The Royal Mausoleum, the final place for Royalty of Johor , The Causeway, links the Johor Bahru with Singapore when entering Johor Bahru from Singapore.

Shopping in Johor Bahru :
The city also offers visitors a multitude of souvenir, handicraft stores at reasonable prices which are popular among locals as well as Singaporeans. Shopping complexes such as the Holiday Plaza, Plaza Pelangi, Plaza Kotaraya, L'ien Hoe complex and the new City Square City offer a good selective of local and imported goods including designer clothing label, electrical items and household products.

There is also a Duty-Free Trade Zone where visitors will be able to purchase a large range of items including alcohol and cigarettes at tax free prices. Due to it's duty-free zone, this place is catered for foreigners from Singapore and around the world.

Entertainment World : Johor Bahru :
Visitors will also be glad to know that Johor Bahru provides great entertainment at affordable prices. Around the L'ien Hoe complex located in the area of Sentosa are many night spots for visitors to have fun. Famous for its large number of nightclubs, pubs and restaurants, visitors will be fascinated by the lights and colors of the nightlife in Johor Bahru.
