MTV Video Music Aid Japan
The tenth annual MTV Video Music Awards Japan (VMAJ) will be staged as a live international music television event to benefit the Japanese Red Cross entitled MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN.
Hosted by Japanese pop sensation AKB48 and featuring live performances from international, regional and Japanese artists, the staging of MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN will be the culmination of MTV Japan’s MUSIC OF HOPE campaign, the multi-platform response to the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. Designed to inspire and rally young people to contribute time or funds to recovery and rebuilding efforts, MUSIC OF HOPE will feature inspirational music videos, live performances, artist interviews, exclusive news and stories about artists and young people who have been impacted by the disaster.
MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.

SHINee to perform in Singapore in September
SINGAPORE: Korean boy band SHINee will perform in Singapore on September 10 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
SHINee The 1st Concert in Singapore - SHINee World, is the K-Pop quintet's first-ever large-scale concert here and the fourth stop on their concert tour.
Six thousand tickets to the concert will be released.
The tickets, with prices ranging from S$138 to S$218, will go on sale at the end of July.
According to a statement from concert organisers Running Into The Sun (RITS), the group's performance here costs S$1.7 million to produce and will boast sprawling LED display screens, laser shows as well as pyrotechnics.
"The concert will be a vibrant mix of excitement, splendour and pure pleasure.
"The combination of stage effects and heart-thumping songs will be a two-and-a-half-hour adrenaline rush for fans and concert goers," said RITS Creative Director Beatrice Chia-Richmond in a media statement.
SHINee, which consists of Jonghyun, Minho, Taemin, Onew and Key, debuted in 2008 and is best known for their hit songs like "Lucifer" along with "Ring Ding Dong".
