Interview: TWINKLE KHANNA

Q. Why are you so media-shy?

A. Honestly, I'm not media-shy at all. It's just that I've never hankered after covers and interviews. Over the years, I've grown more cautious because I've been misquoted many a times. What I say sometimes sounds different from what I intended to say because the reader obviously does not know the tone of my voice. Moreover, I'm not comfortable to discuss my linen in public. My personal life isn't for public consumption.

Q. But don't you feel that by virtue of being a celebrity the media has a right to delve into your personal life?

A. I have never stopped the media from writing anything about my professional or personal life. That's their job. I've never cribbed about the speculations and suppositions made by them. I may be a public figure, but I'm not public property. The problem is when they call and ask you to give a quote or react to what they've written about you. I don't see the need to clarify my personal life in print.

Q. Do you feel proud of the fact that you made it on your own steam?

A. My producers will vouch for the fact that I've never used my parents' names to bag work. From day one, I was clear that I'll either make it by myself or I'll sit at home. Mum gives me advice but she's never made calls or accompanied me to producers' offices.

Q. Over the years, you've worked really well on your overall look and grooming. True?

A. Let's face it; an actress gets paid to look good on screen. The last thing I want to do is ask for money to look over-weight and wear hideous outfits. I admit that I'm better groomed today because I've realized the importance of looking presentable. It's part of my job to take keen interest in my outfits and make-up. I don't cringe when I look at my photographs any more!

Q. You've worked with the three Khans. Which one of them is your favourite?

A. Frankly, I enjoyed working with all of them. They're all talented and accomplished in their own right. They're absolute professionals, which is why they are where they are! But I've been closer to Aamir. He's a wonderful, straightforward guy.

Q. 'Mela' did not do well but your performance was immensely praised. How did it feel?

A. I think critics are gradually opening up to the fact that there's more to me than just glamour. A section of the media didn't much care for me in 'Mela', while another section thought I was wonderful. I guess it's an individual opinion. As long as I know that I've put my heart and soul into the film.

Q. What went wrong with 'Baadshah'?

A. I enjoyed doing and watching 'Baadshah'. But I think our audience is still not ready for spoofs which is why it didn't click. I've always loved Abbas-Mustan and their kind of films. I signed it because the script was genuinely funny and I had never played a role like that before. It even had some great music.

Q. What is your equation with your younger sister Rinke?

A. Rinke and I are the best of friends. We discuss all our problems with each other. She is a perfectionist and extremely hygiene conscious, and for her age, she's too mature and talented. She literally wears the pants in the house!

Q. 'Joru Ka Ghulam' is your first film with Govinda. How was the experience of working with him?

A. Oh, ChiChi's a fun guy. He knows how to infuse the atmosphere on the sets with great humour. In fact, I'm even doing David Dhawan's 'Jodi No.1' with him. I hope we get down to doing some more films together.

Q. What is your role in Shakeel Noorani's 'Joru Ka Ghulam'? Are you happy with it?

A. I'm quite happy with my role in 'Joru Ka Ghulam'. It's a hardcore 'masala' movie; ideally for frontbenchers. It has light moments, emotional moments and musical moments. I had a blast doing some of the comedy scenes. The music is awesome. My favourite song is 'Teri Nazar'.

Q. What is your pet passion these days?

A. The computer, it is! I've become such a gizmo-freak! I can sit for hours designing greeting cards or surfing the net. It's my answer to boredom.

Interview: Mahima Chaudhary

After a dream debut in Subhash Ghai's Pardes, Mahima Chaudhary's career has been rather static with one small hit (Daag) and two big flops (Pyar Koi Khel Nahin, Dil Kya Kare). However, her performances have been appreciated, and she has a lot to look forward to.

Q: You started your showbiz career as a model and VJ. Was acting planned as the next step?

Acting was never a career option. I had planned a less complicated career for myself. Becoming an actress was God's plan! Had I planned it, I'm sure I would have messed things up! I grew up in a boarding school in Darjeeling. I was always inclined towards sports and academics. I did well in my sciences and had planned on becoming a doctor and probably, even a pilot. At one stage I thought I'd be a hockey player or become a detective and even form my own pop group. I was mentally scattered. While vacationing in Delhi, the Pepsi offer came by. They wanted a girl-next-door look. Of course, film and ad offers began pouring in after that but I decided to wait for the big offer, which came in the form of Subhash Ghai's 'Pardes'.

Q: Considering you entered the industry at a late age, don't you think it has restrained your career growth?

Other than Karisma, Shilpa and Neelam, most of us like Pooja Batra, entered the industry when we were in our mid-20s. We had done our stint in modelling. It's nicer that way as you are not too raw for the industry. Even the boys, Hrithik and Abhishek, have come in looking quite mature.

Q: Your performances in 'Pyaar Koi Khel Nahin' and 'Dil Kya Kare' were appreciated, but because the films did not fare well, your performance went unnoticed. How did you feel?

If I got written about after 'Pardes' and 'Daag' for my performance, then it was for 'Dil Kya Kare'. The film was a hit abroad and at times I felt that the media went overboard in praising my performance. That's when I realized that irrespective of the film's fate, people always appreciate a good performance.

Q: In your film, 'Lajja', Manisha Koirala has the best role, so what are you doing in it?

There are four women in the film- Madhuri, Manisha, Rekha and myself. It's a story of four women each of whom has her own episode. It depends on which episode you like the best!

Q: You've also been a last-minute addition to Dharmesh Darshan's Akshay Kumar-Sunil Shetty-Shilpa Shetty starrer, 'Dhadkan'? Are you doing a cameo?

I liked the honesty with which Dharmesh Darshan approached me to do the role. I've always wanted to work with him and didn't want to let go of the chance. Besides, I also like the character of the girl, Sheetal, which I'm playing in the film. And what I'm playing is certainly not a cameo.

Q: Are you satisfied with the kind of roles and films that you are doing today?

I've had the opportunity of working with Ajay Devgan and Kajol, both of whom are good actors. Sunny's been a pleasure as well. Now I'm working with Akshay Kumar who is very disciplined and lectures me on how to be health -conscious! I'm also working with Sanjay Dutt, someone I'm very fond of. Jackie is so smart! He can carry off just about anything. Unlike me, clothes look good on him than on the hanger. Govinda always shows me how to do a comedy scene without giggling. I'm working with so many senior actors in 'Lajja'. I've also got an opportunity of working with Harry Baweja in 'Deewane' and Mahesh Manjrekar in 'Kurukshetra'. Yep, I'd say I'm happy with myself!

Q: Looking back over your stint in this industry, what changes do you find in yourself?

I've become more patient. I read a lot and have become closer to my family. I've started sharing more with them. Initially my mother never knew any secret of mine. Now she does!

Interview: Sharad Kapoor

He has the patience of a hunter and looks that could kill! With oodles of talent, he is raring to go and is determined to make a success of his so far slow-moving career.

Q: Your release, 'Khauff', did not fare too well?

'Khauff' was a Sanjay Dutt film and he put in a spirited performance. I was not the film's central protagonist, so you can hardly blame me for its failure! Sanjay (Gupta) narrated the entire script to me. I had some good scenes and I did them well. I really don't know what went wrong at the box-office though.

Q: In retrospect, how would you evaluate your career?

It's been like a wave with crests and troughs. I started with a big bang with Sushmita Sen in 'Dastak'. I did some good projects like 'Vishwa Vidhata' and 'Tamanna' but they didn't fare too well. That's when the recession came in! Now hopefully with 'Josh', things will be on an upswing!

Q: After the release of 'Dastak', you were touted as the most promising newcomer?

'Dastak' was hyped because it was starring the-then Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen. At that time, I was new, and I didn't know anybody. I had no friends in the media either. I felt like a little boy who was lost in the woods! The silver lining was the unexpected accolades that came for 'Dastak'. I felt more confident and mature.

Q: With your raw, animal looks, people feel that you are suited to play a villain? What do you think?

Come on! Do I look that scary to you? Don't misunderstand me but I honestly feel that I'm one of the best looking actors in the industry. After my negative portrayal in 'Dastak', luckily I had Pooja Bhatt's 'Tamanna' to showcase me as a typical romantic lover-boy. I'm comfortable doing both. Actually, I'm comfortable playing any role, which is challenging and well defined. I don't give a damn about the money. I'd rather be a sucker for good roles!

Q: Tell us about your role in 'Josh'?

It's set in Goa. There are two rival gangs - 'Eagle' and 'Bichoo'. I head one of them and Shah Rukh heads the other. Then there's an element of romanticism interlaced with the rivalry. Honestly, 'Josh' has really shaped up into a superior product.

Q: You've been spotted at a number of parties! You're quite a social animal, aren't you?

I stay alone. After a hard day of work, I go home to see a cook making food for me! Naturally, I'll want to get out with my friends.

Q: But are you an introvert by nature?

See, there are times, when I enjoy being a loner. I love spending time by myself. However meta-physical it sounds, but I get a chance to indulge in a bit of self-introspection! But when I'm out, I let my hair loose and like to intermingle as much as possible!

Q: What about your Casanova image?

To a large extent, that's a tag given to me by the media. The last time I was involved in a serious relationship was when I was living in Calcutta, before joining this industry. Now she's happily married to a good family in Delhi. I've been extremely friendly with some of my female co-stars, but it's been on a purely platonic level. I don't think I have the guts to take a relationship.

Interview: CHANDRACHUR SINGH

After 'Tere Mere Sapne', 'Maachis' and 'Daag-The Fire', Chandrachur Singh has two hits in 'Kya Kehna' and 'Josh'. No wonder he is brimming with excitement.

Q. Now that 'Josh' has taken a rocking initial, how does it feel?

A. Wonderful. A hit takes you on a high. I feel like a student who's passed with flying colours. Even the critics' response to my histrionics has been overwhelming. Offers have come in but I'd like to be selective about my work. I'm not going to sign any B or C projects out of excitement. Even in the past, I've turned down several unexciting offers. I may have lost out on a lot of money but I'd rather aim for a resume comprising of good films.

Q. But aren't you getting slotted in those typical gentlemanly, goody-goody kind-of roles?

A. There are several barriers I have to break. Since I don't have a Godfather backing me, nor do I belong to a particular camp, it's difficult to be able to bag a variety of roles. I've yet to receive an opportunity for a role that taps my action and comic abilities.

Q. Who is your best friend in this industry?

A. Bobby Deol. He's a gem of a guy.

Q. Did Aishwarya and you actually kiss each other in that scene in 'Josh'?

A. No. We cheated the kiss! As a policy, Aishwarya doesn't kiss on the lips.

Q. Is it true that you're learning music these days?

A. Music has always been a passion. I hate to blow my own trumpet but I'm a great singer. I'm taking lessons in classical music. I do 'riyaaz' every day. I love the melodies of the golden era.

Q. What do you feel about your performance in 'Kya Kehna'?

A. It's been appreciated. It's a unidimensional character; a very common role. In fact, when I was theatre hopping for 'Josh', the ladies summoned me as the Phoolchand of 'Kya Kehna'!

Q. Is it true that you're really fond of sleeping? I hear that in your make-up room and van, you're perpetually sleeping?

A. (Laughs) That's not entirely true. I did that earlier when I was new. There weren't many responsibilities in those days. Now I'm on my toes. I'm pretty shy. I don't mix too easily. On the sets, I read a book or listen to music.

Q. Are you making a conscious attempt to go in for a change of image? A. I can never change my image, or rather, I don't want to. I can't be what I'm not. I'd prefer having my good-old-world charm and keeping my values intact. I'm not egoistic, I'm individualistic. But I've become more media-savvy and market-savvy.

Q. What does your wife, Avantika, feel about you as an actor?

A. She loves me as an actor. She pats me when I'm good and criticizes me when I'm bad.

Interview: Priya Gill

After an impressive debut in Tere Mere Sapne, the pretty Priya Gill was lost in the wilderness till she was paired with Shah Rukh Khan in Josh, and suddenly she is back in the reckoning.

Q. You made an impressive debut with 'Tere Mere Sapne' but began fading out?

I've never got an opportunity to play a character that is 'me'. I'm always stuck with roles where I have to portray a quiet, sensitive and shy girl. I just wish people would give me roles where I'm doing comedy and portraying a fun-loving girl. I've always been told that I've got a fresh and innocent look. What they don't realize is that I have a versatile face that can portray a wide range of emotions. I would also love to run around trees and look like a glam doll rather than doing roles with only substance in them. I'm dying to wear fancy clothes in my films.

Q. Are you trying to say that you would not mind wearing revealing clothes?

If I am comfortable in a certain attire, why not? What's also important is the director I'm working with. If he convinces me that the scene and my character demand that I wear revealing clothes, it's fine.

Q. So far, how would you evaluate your career?

So far so good (laughs). I think it's too soon to evaluate. But I've definitely enjoyed my work so far. People tell me that the roles that I've played don't generally come that early in one's career. When we were shooting for 'Sirf Tum', Sushmita commented that she would do anything to do the role that I was playing. But like I said, now I want to do lighter roles as well.

Q. Describe your role in 'Josh'.

I'm playing a Goan Christian girl who's a little snooty. It's a cute role, where the heroine is not chasing the hero. It's the other way round. Shah Rukh is chasing me in the film and I don't give a damn for his efforts. The more he tries to woo me and impress me, the more I push him away. I find him rowdy. Later on, of course I'm captivated by him and hang around with his gang. I even play football with them. It's a look which people haven't seen me in before.

Q. You have been linked up with director Mansoor Khan?

Gosh, this is pathetic! Though I have a good sense of humour, I can't laugh at this one!

Q. During the making of 'Bade Dilwala', you made up a story about spraining your foot while shooting and annoyed Shakeel Noorani?

No comments. I love the way people turn around and say that I broke my foot just to annoy the director. I'm tired of justifying myself. I have nothing to say about the guy and his film. All I can say is, if he's still shouting from the rooftops about this, then someone please give him some attention!

Q. You seem to have the tag of a troublemaker in the industry. Naveen Vadde, a Telugu actor, recently called for a press conference asking the Telugu film industry to ban you! True?

Really? I don't know of this. To the best of my knowledge I don't think something like this has happened.

Q. You were good in 'Sirf Tum' but it hasn't really benefited your career?

To a certain extent, the 'herd mentality' is very rampant here. I told you that I'm thought of when there is a performance-oriented role. If there's a role, which involves only glamour, then I'm not even considered. It's nice to be doing my kind of roles but someone please consider me for a footloose and fancy-free character. I want to experiment with different characters and roles.

Q. Despite your looks and talent, you still haven't made it in the top league?

(Smiles) Thank you for complimenting me on my looks and talent. The policy in this industry is that you have to go around saying- 'I'm the best!' My PR is bad; I can't go around smooth talking people and asking for work. I'm not pushy and I don't have a godfather. Whatever I am today is because of myself and I owe a lot to God and my family. In the initial stage of my career I had Jaya ji who guided me. Sridevi complimented me on my performance in 'Sirf Tum'. Anyway, I'm optimistic and sure that the industry is going to realize my worth.

INTERVIEW: BOBBY DEOL

Hum To Mohabbat Karega may have been a disaster, but Bobby Deol is looking forward to the release of 'Bichhoo'. The guy is ever optimistic and cheerful

Q. 'Bichhoo' is your third release. How comfortably are you placed?

A. 'Badal' garnered a good run. Unfortunately, 'Hum To Mohabbat Karega' was a bit of a disappointment; but I'm not God or some hit-minting machine! Now I'm a tad charged about 'Bichhoo'. I loved it when I saw it the other day. I have some amazing get-ups in it. Its got great music, romance, thrill and action; the kind of stuff that's sure to click.

Q. How did you manage to let a real scorpion crawl over you in the movie?

A. (Laughs) I'm quite intrepid in many respects. Initially, I felt a bit creepy but after a while I got used to it!

Q. What about the fight you had with Rani while shooting?

A. It was so silly! Rani's a great friend but sometimes I feel that we're such kids; we haven't grown! While shooting for 'Jeevan Mein Jaane Jaana', we had an argument over who should stand on which side of the raft. After a while, we sorted it out and got back to yakking! They cook some real good fish at Rani's home.

Q. Do you feel dejected that you are still to win an award?

A. To tell you the truth, I've stopped caring for them. I don't attend award nites. We all know who's going to win and how the winners are decided. The fact that I'm still hot in the trade and producers want to sign me is enough victory.

Q. Your 'Ajnabi' with Abbas-Mustan is carrying great reports?

A. 'Ajnabi' has shaped up really well. That's another film I'm confident about. Only Abbas-Mustan can handle that genre of films so well. I share a great rapport with them.

Q. What about Indra Kumar's 'Aashiq' with Karisma?

A.  So far, we've shot great stuff.

Q. Tell me honestly, weren't you a rebel of sorts in your family?

A. I wasn't a rebel; I just loved leading life on my own terms. I wasn't serious. I led such a sybaritic life! Long hair, relationships, partying?I lacked focus. There was a point when Sunny bhaiyya' literally gave up on me. That's when I decided to pull up my socks and begin working. When I was recuperating from heartburns and heartaches, I met Tanya at Trattoria. What luck! We married and I became more serious. Tanya and I keep touching wood because we're so much in love. Today when I visit a disc or pub, I realize that I've outgrown these little pleasures. I'd much rather be with my wife, family or close friends who care for me.

Q. How would you like to wind up?

A. I hope the audience continues watching my films; I hope I continue entertaining. I hope my friends and well-wishers are always there for me. They're my treasured possession.

INTERVIEW: FARDEEN KHAN

Not many star sons get a second chance. After the Prem Aggan debacle, Fardeen Khan -- son of actor-filmmaker Feroz Khan-- was written off. To the industry's surprise, Ramgopal Varma signed him for Jungle and the good-looking young actor's career took off again.

Q: Are you nervous about Jungle?

We are all anxious about it but not nervous as such. Ramu is so experienced; he's directed about fourteen films. I feel I'm definitely better off than what I was in my first film, in terms of handling the pressure of the release.

Q: Is this is your comeback film?

(Laughs) Hey! I never ran away anywhere so where is the question of coming back? I really don't know. I don't think I can categorize it as my comeback film. It's just my second release.

Q: Tell us a little about your role in 'Jungle'?

I've tried to portray the boy-next-door. Someone you like to take home to your mother. A boy who wears his heart on his sleeve, very transparent and cannot hide his feelings and emotions. He's a bit frivolous and is trying to get his life together by starting a business. He's not a bum but the most important thing in his life is his girlfriend, Anu. She's everything he lives for.

Q: Is that true in real-life as well?

That I live for my girlfriend? I live for myself.

Q: So who's the girl?

Don't talk about her. I don't talk about my relationships, uh, I mean relationship! Oops, you caught me there! No I don't talk about my relationship.

Q: As compared to last year, you have more competition with Hrithik and Abhishek having made their debuts?

I don't view it in terms of competition. It's not like we are all running a 100-metre race. The variables are different for each one. Each has his own specialties and tries to capitalize on them and hides the weaknesses, of course! (laughs).

Q: So what is your specialty?

I don't know if you can call it a specialty, but I try and be as natural as possible on screen. I'm not a very stylized actor, and try to be as natural and true to the emotions that I have to portray. I tried that in my first film, it didn't work. Let's see if it works this time! (laughs)

Q: Is it true that Ramu is very happy with your performance in 'Jungle'?

Well, he's producing two films in which I am acting. Yes, he's reasonably happy, he's been generous with his compliments. Coming from him, I do take it as a compliment because he rarely gives compliments. He doesn't like giving compliments.

Q: Any funny or unforgettable incidents while shooting in the Jungle?

We were all bitten by bamboo-ticks! You don't even know they are biting you, you just scratch! Once there was this herd of wild elephants that went by. That was a bit scary, though I followed them all the way into the thick forest. That was fun. It's just the whole experience in general because we were in the middle of this jungle and there was nothing to do! No television, no distractions.

Q: Which are your forthcoming films?

My father's film is still in the pre-production stage. I'm doing my next film with Venus. There are films with Mehul Kumar, Pahlaj Nihalani and Anees Bazmee. I like to space out my films as much as possible and concentrate on them better. I like to take four or five days off in between each schedule. I like to spend more time on the character that I'm playing; otherwise you just end up playing yourself and repeating yourself film after film. I believe in giving each character a different shape and colour, as much as possible. Otherwise at the end of the day you feel that you've done nothing.

Q: You are reputed to be a 'Ladies Man'. One has always heard of you being associated with all the beautiful women in this industry. True?

I like beautiful things. (Laughs) What do I say? There was nothing on between Helen (Brodie) and me. We knew each other socially. What do I say about Pooja (Bhatt) and Twinkle? (smiles)

Q: Presently you're dating a girl from Delhi?

Q: Are you building up your body?

I'm trying to!

Q: Do you think it's important for a hero to look macho?

If the role demands that he look macho, then he must. Instead of showing off a tough physique on screen, it would be better if an actor showed his histrionics instead!

Esha is exposing against her wish

Before one year Esha was saying she would not give skin shots or sexy scenes. But in her recent film 'Dhoom' she gave a good number of skin shots. After this film it seems that she has no problem in body exposure before camera. It is interesting that mother Hema is helping her in this regard. In some of the bold films mother Hema has got hot babe Isha Koppikar replaced by her daughter. The directors and the producers of these films agreed to accept Esha Deol because she promised to look sexier than Isha Koppikar. However, Esha Deol says that she is not interested in all these but she is doing so to meet the demand of the audience.

Blood written letter to Shah Rukh

It is hard to believe though but looking at the passion of Indian fans for Bollywood stars it is not impossible either. Some girls have written 'red' letters to the superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The red-letters do not point towards any danger. But the girls have written these letters with their bloods. SRK has revealed this truth to the Time magazine. He has been in the UK for stage shows for the last two months. He said that so many people have written I Love You in their blood to him. After 1995 he has been giving hit films frequently and has become the heartthrob of million of girls. Karan Johar had once told that nobody could match with SRK in the industry. Starting his career in TV serials, he moved to Mumbai in 1991. Since then he has never looked back.

Kiss brings Abhishek into gossip

The shy Abhishek Bachchan has always remained far from the gossip world. Even after working with so many established actresses his name has never been mentioned with anybody for a long time. But now Junior Bachchan is on the front pages of film magazines for a kissing scene with Antara Mali in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Naach'. It is being said that after looking Antara in 'Naach' the memory of Urmila in 'Rangeela' would be faded away from the audience's mind. But the most interesting thing is that Abhishek has given a number of hot shots, which is contrary to his present image.

Urmila now in Nandy's camp

RamGopal Verma's camp has almost become an alien place for its former beauty queen Urmila. Some time the 'Rangeela' girl Urmila was ruling in the Ramu camp, but now Antara Mali has grabbed that place. Moreover, Urmila has no offer from any big banner at present and is roaming around offices of different producers for a role. However, recently she met Pritish Nandy and convinced him. Now Pritish Nandy has planned to launch a film taking Urmila in the lead role. Nandy has told the director of this film Sripal Morkhia to prepare a strong script for Urmila. This film is soon going to come to the floor. Interestingly, Urmila will act as a blind girl.

Rambha banks upon old friends

Sometime known as sexy girl of Hindi movies, Rambha is now taking rounds of several producers and directors to start her second spell in movies. Laloo's new fan is Kim Sharma

Producer director Mahesh Manjrekar's new film 'Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav' has added some new members to the fan list of Laloo. Recently, Rajesh Roshan finished one day shooting with Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav. After that all the unit members of PLPY became fans of Laloo. But the heroine of this film Kim Sharma is more impressed with Lalooji after getting a gift pack of mango pickle from him. Laloo sent two packets of mango pickle prepared by his wife 'Rabri Devi' Chief Minister of Bihar to Rajesh Roshan and Kim Sharma. Thus Kim turned a fan of Laloo and talks to everybody in her friend circle about pickle made by Rabri Devi and sent by Laloo to her.

Shah Rukh's new partner Gayatri Joshi

Hopefully, there is nothing to shock Gauri, the wife of super star Shah Rukh Khan, after she listens to the praise showered by her husband on his new heroine. Actress Gayatri Joshi has become Shah Rukh's onscreen partner in the film 'Swades'. In this film Gayatri is playing the role of a simple innocent village girl against Shah Rukh who plays a NASA scientist. SRK is very much impressed by Gayatri's acting and has admired her profusely.

Sisters quarrel over Manoj

The Shetty sisters are now poised to compete with each other to woo Manoj Bajpai. It is said that everything is just in love and war. So conflict between these two sisters to achieve their loved one is not astonishing. But contrary to your shock all this is going to happen on the silver screen, and not in the real life. In Deepak Tijori's new film 'Fareb' the two sisters Shilpa and Shamita would be found fighting with each to get Manoj Bajpai. This film is based on a triangular love story between Shilpa, Shamita and Manoj, where both Shilpa and Shamita try to woo Manoj. This is Deepak Tijori's second venture with Shilpa after 'Khamoshi'. Will the conflict between the two sisters would attract the audience is yet to be seen.

Yukta follows boldness

Yes, the new heroines of Hindi movies are quick to adopt boldness in body exposure as an easy way of early success in the glamour world. The list is getting thicker and thicker. Even former Miss World Yukta Mukhi has been added herself in this category initiated by Mallika Sherawat, Neha Dhupia, Meghna Naidu, Nigar Khan, Isha Koppikar and Payal Rohtagi. Yukta Mukhi has just signed producer A. Rehman's new film 'A Unique Story'. It is being said that in this film Yukta has exposed herself to such an extent that she would even excel Neha Dhupia in the film 'Julie'. Yukta entered into Hindi movies through the film 'Pyaasa' opposite Aftab Shivdasani. But this film was rejected at the box office. Mukhi has only two films on hand at present, and one is hanging out of them. After struggling for a successful movie for the last four years, Yukta Mukhi has now adopted exposure as a means to survive in the industry. Let's see she succeeds in her attempt.

Preity choosy about guest appearance

Generally, Preity Zinta doesn't like the guest appearance roles. But this dimple girl is ready to accept even such roles under those directors who are close to her. Recently, she accepted a small role in producer- director Rakesh Roshan's new film. Preity Zinta is such an actress who has established herself with her sheer hard work and talent in the cutthroat competitive world of Bollywood. Starting from Mani Ratnam to Yash Chopra all the famous directors and the producers are impressed with Preity's work. It is said that some directors take liberty and increase the length of her role in view of her excellent performance in their films.

Salman angry with Katrina too

As known already that after breaking his intimate relationship with Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan wooed Katrina Kaif. But because of his short temper this relationship is also reported to be breaking, according to sources close to both. Recently, in a five star hotel in Mumbai Katrina and Salman were having lunch. Meanwhile Katrina tried to persuade Salman to announce that he is going to marry her. But Salman declined to do this. When Katrina asked him about his hesitation in making an announcement in this regard, Salu got angry and allegedly dragged her by hair. Salu shouted that he would mention about their marriage whenever he feels it appropriate. Until then he expects her to remain with him as a friend. This unnerved Katrina. Anyhow she escaped from there but has turned cautious now. She doesn't want to repeat what has happened with Somi Ali or Sangeeta Bijlani.
