Chelsea and Barcelona meet tonight for the third season running in the Champions League, and while the two earlier encounters were nothing if not controversial, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho expects the latest instalment to be less frenetic.
"There is a slight difference because we are talking about a group stage game," Mourinho said of tonight's much-anticipated encounter.
"It gives an opportunity to see some better football - some calmer football - and for quality to shine through."
The English champions won two seasons ago while Barcelona won last season's clash 3-2 on aggregate.
Both previous meetings featured (or were disfigured by, according to your taste) a lot of verbal jousting in the build-up, with conspiracy theories and accusations flying hick and fast.
That hasn't happened this time, something for which Barca coach Frank Rijkaard is relieved, though Chelsea have ben preoccupied since the weekend with the plight of their injured goalies.
"I feel normal approaching the game," Rijkaard said. "But I think if things are a bit more peaceful than in the past it's possibly to do with the fact there are these injuries to the goalkeepers, especially the serious one to Petr Cech.
"Maybe that's why the people at Chelsea are a little bit calmer than they have been in the past.
"I don't think there is an extra edge to this match. It is a game in the Champions League and they are always something special."
Cech could be out of football for a year after colliding with Stephen Hunt during Chelsea's 1-0 win over Reading on Saturday, while his deputy Carlo Cudicini is also unavailable for the visit of Barca after being knocked unconscious later in the same game.
That means that Chelsea will have third-choice keeper Henrique Hilario facing the Catalans, but Mourinho expects the former Porto to acquit himself well at Stamford Bridge tonight.
"Hilario is no kid," the coach stressed. "He's 30 years old. He's played game after game in the first division and has played the odd Champions League game.
"He is calm and prepared, he is taking his time.
"It was only on Saturday when he found out he would be playing because of the injuries to the two goalkeepers but, since then, he has been busy preparing, doing his homework as goalkeepers do.
"He came here knowing he was going to be third choice and third-choice goalkeepers don't normally play.
"If you were to ask me the third-choice goalkeeper of Barca, Madrid, Manchester United or Arsenal I wouldn't be able to tell you.
"They're normally anonymous but now he gets a great chance to play against the champions of Europe.
"He will go into the game with a great mix of emotions. He is going to be excited but at the same time he will have a mix of sadness because of the absence of his great friend and the way his great friend got hurt."
