Some Athlon II X4 Chips Mutate to Phenom II X4
The latest in AMD's almost deliberate series of processors that unlock into powerful / more capable processors is the Athlon II X4. Some of the earliest batches of these sub-$150 quad-core processors can be converted to more powerful Phenom II X4 chips using a simple trick. When unlocked, the chip will be equipped with 6 MB L3 cache. Supposed to have been based on the "Propus" core that physically lack a L3 cache, apparently early batches continue to use the "Deneb" core with L3 cache locked (using moist threads instead of a padlock). Currently there's no information as to which specific batches of Athlon II X4 620 and Athlon II X4 630 work. The trick works on some motherboards that support the Advanced Clock Calibration (ACC) feature. Simply set the ACC option in the BIOS setup to "Auto" from its default value of "Disabled", and you're done. |

malah kalau kita tengok betul-betul... yang paling advanced guna latest DDR technologi adalah grafik kad .. dorang dah pakai DDR5! Contoh ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2... produk AMD gak sekarang...
Jangan kita jadi mak jenin... macam AMD suka tipu orang... hari ini teknologi telah berubah.. AMD dah tak power macam dulu... aku dulupun puji AMD gak masa Intel P4, tapi semua itu hanya tinggal omong-omongan kosong bila Core 2 Duo pertama kali diperkenalkan.
Kalau korang tak percaya... cuba pegi website ATI - pengeluar chip graphic, lwn dia Nvidia. ...sebab nak tunjuk keupayaan sebenar sesebuah grafik kad.. kena couple dengan the fastest processor at that time! Kalau korang rajin.. kat url atas tadi... cuba tengok grafik kad lain AMD tu.. benchmark dorang pakai processor dorang sendiri ke? Kalau dorangpun tak confident barang sendiri... kita sebagai user lagi la tak confident...
tulah sekarang nie AMD cuba tukar "game" processor nie kepada "gpu".. grafik, gaming, HD experience... tukar topik lah tu.. tapi realitinya ... korang leh judge sendiri lepas nie... tapi one thing.... AMD memang power setakat ni kat grafik (gpu) kerana dorang beli ATI - favourate aku! Intel xde lagi gpu macam ATI atau Nvidia untuk external PCI-e. Tapi AMD tokleh berpeluk tubuh.. kerana sekarang nie Intel punya on-board grafik lebih power kalau compare dgn onboard grafik ATI & Nvidia... teruk nanti kalau Intel kluar grafik kad external lak... tapi itu bukan hal kita.. yang pasti dorang bergaduh ke, berlumba-lumba sapa hebat - keuntungannya tetap kepada kita sebagai user... tapi kita kenalah bijak memilih!
