Since the law in US said that if u want to get married n be husband n wife do it in civil way maka anak2 tu kira legal lah. Dia bukan kawen kat msia where there are syariah n civil law. In US religions are personal n cultural thingy. For them there is no illegitimate children, children are children, if parents choose not to get married is personal matter but the children born out of wedlock are protected n have the same rights.

From an Islamic perspective, sebab kepam as far as we know is/was Muslim, then a civil marriage tak sah dalam Islam and any child is considered tak sah taraf. Dia boleh ada civil marriage and still have an Islamic nikah if keris becomes Muslim.
Still legal in the US as kak @surioo mentioned sebab they dont consider religion as a factor in this. Kita bring up this topic sebab kita assume kepam is still Muslim and did not leave the religion. |
