Socket AM3, which will be used in future AMD CPU releases, is a CPU socket designed by AMD for desktop processors, including the performance, mainstream and value segments. It did have an expected release for January 2009, as a replacement for Socket AM2/AM2+. But currently Socket AM2+ processors (Code Name: Deneb 45 nm) are scheduled for a January 8th 2009 launch, pushing back the release of Socket AM3 to February 2009.

konpem la, Asus M3n-H-HDMI yg ni : http://www.asus.com/products.asp ... 262&modelmenu=1 tengok icon bulat kaler ijau tu (Support AM3 CPU) aku belikan utk member aku ari tu harga dia RM350 mungkin skrg dah diskaun kot. ada hybrid SLI/Crossfire.

aku rasa artikel wikipedia tu outdated kot. sebab kat mana ntah aku baca, AM3 still akan menten guna DDR2 (kalo tak silap). sedangkan Intel dah kecoh guna DDR3 sebab nak belen dgn cache dia.

Tu  CPU   support  bukannya  ram  support   ........  
sebab    AM3   bukannya   tukar   socket   baru   ...  hanya   tambah  slot ram  aje  .....

CPU AM3....  memang    support   mobo  AM2+   ........
tapi   mobo   AM3   bukannya    pakai  ram DDR2   ......
ko  kena  beza  CPU-Support    dgn  AM3   slot  ram  ni

artikel  tu    CPU   support   ......   processer AM3   memang   boleh  pakai    kat  mobo AM2/ AM2+....

yg aku paham :

The company aims to add DDR3 support to Phenom II by the middle of 2009, but could push that up depending on factors including pricing of the memory, said John Taylor, an AMD spokesman.

To support DDR3 memory, the company will introduce the AM3 socket, Taylor said. Motherboards with the AM3 socket will support AMD's upcoming Phenom II CPU.

ni pun aku tak paham. kalo refer pada tech info kat asus tu, patutnya kalo AM3 leh masuk kat mobo tu, dah tentu cuma DDR2 aje yg leh masuk sebab mobo tu manade slot DDR3?

DDR3 ni sama ke soket ngan DDR2? kalo sama baru le aku paham.

Utk   support   ram DDR3    tu   leer   ...  pihak  AMD   wat  kuar  mobo AM3   .....   
Processer  Phenom II  still  boleh  support   mobo  AM2/ AM2+  ........
bukannya   mcm   Intel  wat  kuar  socket  LGA 1366   terus   ......

maksud aku AM3 class processor tapi guna soket 940 la. mobo AM2+
kira macam pre-AM3 gitu ke? atau pre-N wireless tapi still class WiFi-G? paham soalan tak ni...

AM3  processer   memang   boleh  pakai   kat  mobo AM2/ AM 2+  ......
mobo  AM3   belum   kuar   lagi   .......  
processer  AM3   guna   teknologi   45nm   ....
kemungkinan besar   mobo  AM3   akan  guna  DDR2  dan  DDR3  ...mcm   intel   wat  kuar   mobo  support  DDR3   mula2   dulu  ..... DDR2  boleh pakai  ..  DDR 3  pun  boleh  ....
pastu   straight   guna   DDR3  terus   ....
