Yups,,, cosplayer yang nak jadik Urd nie mesti laa kurus, tinggi lampai (sekitar 160 ~ 170 cm), berkulit hitam manis dan gak rambun lurus dan beruban. Kalau tak nak rambun beruban pun at least kaler rambut tu warna kelabu laa. Penggunaan rambut palsu aku tak berapa galakkan sebab nanti nampak tak menjadik.

setuju, cuma problem rambut,,.... mana ada sanggup nak dye putih?jadi macam nenek tua tu,....kalau pakai wig takyah lah, tak sedap mata memandang... kalau imagine Halle Berry jadik Urd kan Sexy? Heheee....:bodek:

Tak payah dye sampai putih ker kalau nak jadik Urd, tu memang nampak ketara cam nenek tua... dye kelabu dah laa...

Angels Overview


Angels (top to bottom, left to right): Holy Bell, World of Elegance, Noble Scarlet, Gorgeous Rose, Spear Mint, Cool Mint

Angels were a relatively late addition, first appearing in Chapter 71. Angels are winged creatures that have a symbiotic relationship with a goddess. An angel is the mirror of her goddess, so much so that the pair is for all purposes a unit rather than separate entities. Peorth captures the essence of the relationship in her insightful statement "one heart in two bodies." The level of intimacy is such that angels do not appear to have a true individuality, and in fact, must be completely obedient to her mistress. Angels do not speak although they can understand spoken language. Also, angels appear to lie dormant within the bodies of the goddesses themselves until summoned.

Despite their seeming lack of individuality, angels are fully sentient beings. This is thoroughly demonstrated in Chapter 79 (Pretty in Scarlet) where Skuld is unable to control her accidentally-summoned angel Noble Scarlet, due to her lack of power. The new angel, minus the control of Skuld had very much a mind of her own, deciding for example to push Skuld against Sentarou so that she kissed him. Noble Scarlet was eventually converted back to an egg, since as Urd said, an angel must be fully obedient to her master.

Elemental Magic

Each angel of the first four goddesses has a magic domain: Wind, Fire, Water and Earth respectively. It is unclear if a goddess requires an angel to wield elemental magic although there is more evidence supporting this contention. These magics seem to have incompatibilities, Wind for example cannot negate Water but Fire can. The Movie shows these elemental magics well, with Bell, Urd and Skuld wielding Air, Fire and Water magic respectively. It also demonstrates an air shield against fire but this has yet to be backed up in the manga. Peorth has not demonstrated any Earth magic yet.

Functions

Angels in general appear to aid in casting spells (maybe by amplifying magic) or enhance attacks. They can even act as a shield, as Gorgeous Rose did for Peorth. In the case of Holy Bell, there have been instances where she was sent out to intervene directly, such as to stop a motorcycle or create a cushion of air.

Angels and the Rind Arc

The recent Rind Arc (Chapters 155 to 166) reveals a great deal about angels. First, due to the extremely intimate nature of a goddess-angel dyad, removing an angel forcibly is much like removing a part of the goddess herself. The resulting shock renders the goddess unconscious or comatose. Second, an angel can actually be passed to a mortal, although this incapacitates the donor goddess. The requirement for the mortal is simple but exacting: (s)he must be sufficiently loved by a goddess or goddesses. This stems from the fact that a goddess primarily supports an angel through her love. This leads to the third important point: beyond the need for sufficient power, what enables a goddess to final meet her angel is the desire to live with that angel, or as Urd said as early as Chapter 89, a "call from the soul." Fourth and last, it is possible to support two angels simultaneously. However, it requires considerable strength to do this.

Holy Bell



Host Goddess: Belldandy
Elemental Domain: Air / Wind                
Debut: Volume 17 Chapter 71

Holy Bell can be regarded as the "mainstay" angel of AMG, appearing much more frequently than any of the others. Her debut coincides with that of Gorgeous Rose since the two were summoned simultaneously in Chapter 71 (Fourth Goddess or Peorth arc).

Belonging to the domain of Air or Wind, Belldandy uses her angel to cast wind-based spells. These include for example a cushion of air to act as a shock absorber, or the force of wind to stop and even lift a motorbike. This Wind elemental magic appears to be ineffective against Water magic, the domain of Noble Scarlet (or Skuld). Belldandy also often summons Holy Bell when singing a spell.

Holy Bell does not have any special characteristics such as the dimorphic wings of Urd's angel. However, she is the only angel that has been shown to cry, maybe as a reflection of her host goddess' sensitivity.


World of Elegance



Host Goddess: Urd
Elemental Domain: Fire
Debut: Volume 15 Chapter 89

World of Elegance is a very unusual angel, bearing one white and one black wing as well as symmetrical black body markings. As mentioned in the Angels Overview, angels are a reflection of their goddess. It doesn't take much imagination to see why Urd, being a half-goddess and half-demon, would have such an angel.

Ever since Urd was a small, she doubted her demon heritage. However, when she first called forth World of Elegance, Urd was confronted with unequivocal proof. In her shock, she unthinkingly shouted to her angel to never appear again. Since angels obey their goddess unconditionally, she could not summon her angel from that point onward. Urd was eventually reunited when World of Elegance followed Urd's "wish of the soul" to see her again.

World of Elegance belongs to the elemental magic domain of Fire. Like Noble Scarlet, she does not appear outside of her debut chapter until the Rind Arc (Chapters 155-166).


Noble Scarlet



Host Goddess: Skuld       
Elemental Domain: Water
Debut: Volume 14 Chapter 79

Skuld (as the youngest goddess) unsurprisingly has the youngest-looking angel.

Noble Scarlet's first appearance was actually the result of an accident, Skuld having inadvertently swallowed an angel egg before she had the necessary power to control an angel. Consequently, Noble Scarlet was much unlike the other angels in that she had a personality and will of her own. Noble Scarlet was eventually converted back to an egg since she lacked the unconditional obedience an angel should have for her goddess.

During Noble Scarlet's debut in Chapter 79, she was physically very small. During her reappearance (when Skuld already has the necessary power), she becomes much larger and more fully grown. Given the circumstances, this is strikingly analogous to a premature and a full-term baby.

Noble Scarlet belongs to the domain of Water. Skuld first uses water elemental magic in the Rind arc as well as in the Movie.


Gorgeous Rose



Host Goddess: Peorth
Elemental Domain: Earth       
Debut: Volume 12 Chapter 71

Gorgeous Rose is the second most frequent angel to appear after Holy Bell. Her debut also coincides with that of Holy Bell since both were first summoned for the Triple Challenge of the Goddesses in the Peorth arc.

Gorgeous Rose is the only angel to wear thorny vines for her clothing, reflecting Peorth's love for roses. These vines double as weapons in the form of whips, which Peorth uses rather frequently. On the defensive side, Gorgeous Rose once shielded Peorth from possibly fatal damage by wrapping her wings around her goddess.

Peorth's angel belongs to the elemental magic domain of Earth. It is unclear what this magic is but the use of vines might be a manifestation since plants and earth (as soil) are related. Excluding this, no other manifestation of Earth magic has appeared in either the manga or the Movie.


Cool Mint and Spear Mint



Host Goddess: Rind
Elemental Domain: Ice
Debut: Spear Mint - Volume 25 Chapter 158; Cool Mint - Volume 25 Chapter 161

The latest angels to appear, Spear Mint and Cool Mint are probably the most unique of these symbiotic heavenly hosts. The two look identical to each other because they are twins born from the same angel egg. For the same reason each only has a single wing (Spear Mint being left-winged and Cool Mint being right-winged).

When Rind was weaker in power, she thought that she only had one angel, although she later realized she had two. However, even after undergoing rigorous training to gain power, she was unable to call out her second angel Cool Mint. It seems that other goddesses in Heaven were unaware that Rind had a second angel and she came to be known as "one-winged Rind." Even Hild knew of that Rind was called this, though she was also unaware that Rind had a second angel.

Note that the fact that Rind can support two angels simultaneously indicates that she has considerable strength.


The Wasp of the Blue Lance



Hosts: Belldandy, Keiichi (temporary), Welsper (final)
Elemental Domain: Unknown
Debut: Chapter 161

Of all the angels in the series, Blue Lance [1] certainly the most unique in terms of lineage and history. Created by Hild as a "servant demon" (Tsukai), Blue Lance was implanted into Belldandy as an experiment on achieving control over the goddesses . The plain failed after Belldandy unexpectedly purified the demon angel. Unfortunately Belldandy could not become the angel's permanent host for two reasons. First was that hosting two angels places a huge burden on host goddess [2]. Second, even if Belldandy was strong enough the pairing proved to be ultimately incompatible since Blue Lance was still fundamentally a demon by blood (leading to a rejection reaction). Blue Lance transferred to Keiichi after he offered to host her but this was also a temporary arrangement because as a mortal Keiichi could never permanently host an angel [3]. The problem was finally solved when Blue Lance transferred to Welsper who, as a demon, was compatible with the purified servant demon. However Welsper acquired white spots all over his black fur as a result of the hosting Blue Lance.

There are some important issues related to Blue Lance, as detailed below in the footnotes:

• The servant demon was never given a formal name until chapter 186. Welsper gave the name The Wasp of the Blue Lance in this chapter but it is in G2G's opinion that this is a title rather than her actual "calling name." Pending verification from later chapters G2G will use Blue Lance for sake of brevity and ease of use.
• Rind was worried about this as she returned to Heaven. Rind knew Belldandy's strength but still expressed doubts about her capacity to handle two angels. It is thus evident that hosting two angels is a very demanding task for even the strongest, First Class goddesses.
• A mortal hosting an angel is by itself extraordinary. As mentioned in the Angels Overview, a mortal can host an angel only if he receives sufficient love from a goddess (or goddesses). Thus when Keiichi hosted Blue Lance, Belldandy was still supplying Keiichi with the power to host the demon angel. With time the couple was near to the point of collapse, Keiichi because of the sheer burden of a mortal hosting an angel, and Belldandy because she was still supporting Blue Lance indirectly through Keiichi.
