METALLICA Debut New Song At Berlin Concert - June 6, 2006
METALLICA premiered a brand new song during their headlining appearance Tuesday (June 6) at Waldbuhne in Berlin, Germany. According to several fans that attended the gig, the as-yet-untitled track is about eight minutes long with a "killer main riff" and "lots of double-bass parts."
As on the first two dates on the band's current "Escape From The Studio '06" tour, METALLICA played their entire 1986 album, "Master of Puppets", at the show, including rarely performed tracks such as "Orion" and "Disposable Heroes". The concert's second encore also featured a rendition of the RAMONES classic "Commando", with members of support band AVENGED SEVENFOLD joining in on vocals.
The group's setlist for the Berlin show was as follows:

lagu baru ni.... ntahla susah nak cakap
style muzik dia lain sikit daripada lagu-lagu metallica sebelum ni, tapi masih ada identiti bunyi metallica era load-reload
tapi yang pastinya..... solo kirk hammett sudah kembali!!!! oh yeahh!!!! :geram:
tapi riff intro tu ada sikit2 mcm style machine head la pulak :lol

LARS ULRICH: New METALLICA Album To Arrive Summer/Fall 2007 - June 15, 2006
METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich told Mike Davies of BBC Radio 1 during this past weekend's Download festival in England that the group's new album will not be released until the summer or early fall of 2007. "I think we've realized that the creative process works a little slower for us than it used to," he explained. "And we're OK with that. It's not a bad thing, unless, of course, you're waiting for a record." Asked if he thought it was scary that everybody seemed to know everything about the band since the "Some Kind of Monster" movie was released, Ulrich said, "No, it's not scary. I'm proud we put that shit out there. It's just kind of weird because it's like four years ago. Everybody's kind of still assuming that that's the way it is now, which is like |

METALLICA site MetOnTour (www.metontour.com) has been updated with the following short report from a member in regards to Metallica's peformance on Thursday night (June 15th) at the Novarock Festival in Nickelsdorf, Austria:
"WOW! That's all I can really say at this point. Wow! What an encore. JERRY CANTRELL came out to help sing vocals on 'Nothing Else Matters'.
Then, after 'Sandman', another mic was set up next to James'. But it had a very different configuration. Only one person uses that kind of mic, and that's LEMMY! Lemmy came out with bass in hand, and lent a hand on 'Damage Case'! That's right, only the second time EVER that Metallica has played that song. Then, if that wasn't enough, a long time member of the crew had a birthday today, and if you have your birthday on a show day (or near it) you get the royal cream pie treatment!"
