Yoona declines ‘Nodame Cantabile‘ for Korea-China rom-com

Yoona of popular idol group Girls’ Generation ultimately declined to play the female lead role in the drama “Nodame Cantabile,” a remake of a Japanese drama.

The idol instead chose to play the lead in a Korean-Chinese romantic comedy named “Good-bye, Ani,” making her first big-screen debut.

In the movie, Yoona is to play a loving and cheerful girl named Ani. The male lead has not yet been decided, but many popular Chinese actors, including Peng Yuyan, have been mentioned for the part.

The movie production will begin within the second half of this year.

Shim Eun Kyung in Talks Again for Lead Role in “Nodame Cantabile”

Actress Shim Eun Kyung is the new likely candidate for the high speculated lead role in the upcoming drama “Nodame Cantabile.”

According to Mulhwa Ilbo, a representative of the drama said, “We have wrapped up verbal negotiations with Shim Eun Kyung’s agency. We expect to sign the contracts and make the officially make the announcement next week. We plan to start filming in August.”

Shim Eun Kyung had originally turned down the offer for Nodame due to the conflicting schedules that would arise as she will be filming the movie “Waiting for You.” However, reports were saying that the filming schedule for the movie was pushed back to accommodate “Nodame Cantabile.”

Shim Eun Kyung’s representatives were more cautious about the announcement. “We have talked with the staff of ‘Nodame Cantabile’ but have not met officially to discuss. The announcement that it has been official is an embarrassing situation for us. The search for the heroine of KBS’s Nodame Cantabile remake — now called Cantabile Romance — is veering into its own farcical saga at this point. Shim Eun-kyung (Miss Granny) initially turned down an early offer to play the heroine, which was a crying shame since she’d be so perfect for the role. And then we all saw what happened when idol-actress Yoon-ah (Prime Minister and I) was courted after her.

As soon as Yoon-ah bowed out of the drama following the wave of fan reactions, a fresh batch of casting speculations cropped up in the media touting Ha Yeon-soo (Monstar),Lee Hana (High School King of Savvy), Kim Seul-gi (Flower Boy Next Door) @parasitology , and Chun Woo-hee (Han Gong-joo, Vampire Idol) as Nodame hopefuls. All four actresses eventually denied that they were in the running, and it started to feel like casting this heroine would be more difficult than carrying a glass slipper throughout Seoul and just putting it on random feet until we found our Cantabile Cinderella.

banyak pulak "drama" drama nih

lagi lambat casting, lagi kurang la masa untuk dia prepare utk watak ni..
joo won dah practice violin, piano, conducting.. dohee pun dah practice contrabass..

ah sapa2 pun heroin, aku akan tengok jugak kerana joo won..
tu pun tengok illegal je la, tak membantu rating pun.. huhuhuuu
