Valencia coach Koeman insists no way back for dumped trio

Valencia coach Ronald Koeman has gone against president Juan Soler and insists his banished trio will not play again for the club while he is in charge.

Yesterday, Soler declared that the dumping of Valencia favourites Miguel Angel Angulo, Santiago Canizares and David Albelda was all a "misunderstanding" and that they were again part of Koeman's first team.

However, the Dutchman rapped: "They are not going to come back. It is my decision.

"This is the last I will talk on this issue. We've been speaking about it for two weeks and now it's time to talk about other things."

Koeman, meanwhile, has performed an about-face and now is insisting Nikola Zigic is part of his plans, after earlier indications suggested he was ready to also bomb out the big centre-forward.

BocaJuniors midfielder Ever Banega has confirmed that he will signforstruggling Spanish giants Valencia for a fee of around 13.5m euros.

The 19 year-old told Radio 9 on Thursday he had agreed tosign afive-year contract with the club, with the vice-president ofBoca alsoconfirming the deal.
"This is a unique opportunityfor me," saidBanega, who will undergo medical checks and sign his newcontract inValencia on Friday. "Now it is up to me to take advantageof thisopportunity that has been given to me."
Real Madrid,AtleticoMadrid, Juventus and Chelsea had also expressed an interest intheRosario-born midfielder, who only made his debut for Boca 11 monthsand42 games ago.

Valencia have been offered the chance to sign Diego Maradona's son, Diego Jr.

DiarioSport says Diego Jr's agent, Mauro Mancuso, has been in contact with Valencia about signing the 21 year-old midfielder, who is available from Venafro, of Italy's Serie D.
