Inamess, thank u and really appreciate your effort ni.. i dont know whether my brain ni dah tepu ker ape coz i still cant imagine how it works..do we need to purchase the pass first than plan our route or vise versa? hahaha..pardon me! i sgt blurr! If my plan, london-paris-switzerland-german-armsterdam-brussels-london..do u think it worth to buy the pass? (by the way, brapre hengget u beli pass ni?)..if my route london-paris-brussels-armsterdam-london..better not take the pass? what do u think..

Just to share..i do think if u want to purchase ticket to countries yang tak dicover by AA (contoh european, america,etc) it is better to buy with agent compare to purchase online (self purchase) (oh ya, harga online juga tak sama kalo u pegi ofis airlines tu ye, beli online tu lebih murah katenye) ..i checked online for few airlines (comparison menggunakan London)..paling murah is RM3200++ and when i checked with agent the price paling mahal RM3200++ (setakat yang i check la..) Agent ni selalunya dorang ade good bounding ngan airlines..thats why airlines selalu bg rengger yang lebih murah compare to rengger online..kat online tu rengger utk public..tak same..Alhamdulillah, i managed to grab ticket MAS to London with price of RM2890 through agent..sbb katenya MAS buat promotion skrang..kalo tgk online renggernye is RM3700++..see, wayyyy different kan....Agent yang I booked tu is Golden Travel Tour..mase survey kat matta fair ari tu, agent ni yang paling murah offer ticket..and i dpt rengger tu is not dalam waktu matta fair..so, kalo nak survey, survey lah with agent..plus, kalu korang beli online nak gune kredit kad bagai, kalo agent u can purchase by cash or tranfer online..elok utk mereka yang takdok kredit kad..
Next step, plan my europe route..tak tau nak gune pass ke idok ni... worth it ker? Can someone help me please.. |

Wahh cheesy.... banyakkk tempat you nak cover dalam 10 hariiii tuuu... so i agak u nak gi london, paris, swiss (interlaken/LB?), germany (munich?), amsterdam, brussel -- all together 6 cities in 10 days... hmmm kalau this is yr first time in europe...er.. i think this is kinda pushing it a bit...
tapi in all... lebih kurang yr route will be like this kan?
london=paris ------------- pass not valid
paris - swiss ------------ pass valid/depends on type of pass
swiss= germany --------- pass valid
germany - amsterdam --------- pass valid
amsterdam - brusssels ------ pass valid
brussels - london ---------- pass not valid
my advice is cuba u check point-to point ticket utk setiap route tuh dan compare harga dengan rail pass... tapi yr combination of countries nih macam susah utk dapat satu pass jer... sebab ada negara yg tak leh gabung.. so yg berkemungkinan
Select pass - 3 country (Benelux, Germany, Swiss) utk 5 hari + point-to-point ticket from paris to your destination = USD 491 + ??
(sebab France tak join select pass)
Macam mahal je kan? I tak penah beli tiket point to point so i memang tak tahu rate sebenar/discounted price normally berapa..
Weols guna yg 15 gobal 15 consecutive days tuh... cost us dalam RM1900 tapi berbaloi rasanya sebab kitaorang naik train lebih dari belas belas kali dalam tempoh tu..
Tapi rethink yr itinerary... sebab ai rasa lah quite packed jugak tu... so kalau nak cut short to amsterdam, brussels, paris, luxembourge utk (5 hari travel 2nd class) Regional France_Benelux Pass will cost USD 408.
Tapi ni rate adult above 26 lah. kalu u youth, will be cheaper, kalau more than one persons travelling dapat 15 % disc
But seriously u need to buat proper itin... untuk budget masa sebab nanti tak sempat tengok tempat tu betui sebab nak kena move from place to place..
just my opinion je, k....
anywayyy jangannn beli pass dulu... plan dulu then baru tengok worth ke tak, ok?  good luck!

Btw i nak tanya...tempat2 yg u nak pergi nie....London - Paris - Swiss (aper nak tempat2 yg u nak singgah, brapa hari), German (nama tempat2 & brapa hari), - Brussel - Amsterdam - London
i cuma ada experience guna German rail pass ajer....i amik yg 10 days in 1 month....10 days tu bermakna, 10 travelling days within 1 month period...seat tak perlu book....kalu u nak book pun bole, cuma ada skit fees...Euro4 or more...atau kalu u nak naik special train, night train, sleepers....Pass nie u kena purchase masa kat Malaysia, diorg akan courier pass nie kat u....Bila smp negara yg u nak pergi, u kena validate the pass baru bole guna...validate kat train station....

my hari dah upgrade jadi 14 hari ..tu la fenin kepalanak select route dalam tight budget ni ...2 hari tak boleh tido ..  ..Yes, my first or maybelast trip to europe..hahaha..next, nak plan g continent lain plak..nak jejak all continents..Kalo Allahizinkan..Amin..
i masih lagi blur dgn route ni.. Smlm, i just draft something like the table below..sincemy actual date tak appear lagi so just buat bulan 11 punyer sample. I stuck katNetherlands to German to Switzerland to Paris .. i rase mcm nak amik nighttrain untuk travel from each countries tu..buleh jimat hotel ..tapi bilesurvey takde plak.. ker salah station yang i pilih? caner erk nak tau stationyang ade night train dari utk countries tu?

countries yang taknak dok lame london+brussel+german+paris..
my most attracted countries Netherlands and Switzerland..nak tgktulip ngan windmill kat Netherlands pastu nak main snow kat Switzerland (katmane yang best? dan pastinya yang murah?) so i nak dok lame kat 2 countries ni..

ah... 14 days? Then this sounds a lott better And yes... kalau u dah ada pass yang valid for that particular country then u boleh je ulang alik naik train as much as u want dalam country.. so misalnya u ada pass yg valid utk germany (global, select or one regional pass - ) you boleh je naik train2 nak ke stuttgart ke, frankfurt ke, berlin ker. dresden ke hamburg ke. Kalau nak ke neuschawntein tu pon bole pakai pass tu sampai fussen (tapi kena tengok la brape hari u amik .. rujuk eurail website). Kat germany, kalau global pass u can ride the fast train as well as local train cam S-bahn tu jugak. The same with swiss.. kalau dah ada pass.. u boleh nak gi je nak travel dari interlaken ke zurich ke geneva ker ke lucerne ker etc etc... in short.
Worth it a not, bergantung berapa kerap u nak naik train... and buat comparison dengan harga point to point.... kalau banyak duit heheh.. naik jer 15 days consecutive global pass dan pergi lah mana2 cities in europe pon dalam tempoh 15 hari nih... then tak kan susah2 hati termiss train ke, or terasa nak ubah itinerary ker last minute ke..... tapi as i said... kalau u nak ke satu tempat jer dalam satu2 negara and tak mau move around much, mungkin poin to point lebih jimat...
apa pon... kalau setakat nak explore amsterdam jer, tak perlu lama since amsterdam kecikk jer.. tapi kalau u nak explore tempat2 lain kat holland tu, u kena pikir cost pengangkutan la jugak.... and it is a good idea jugak to stay lama in swiss as it is such a lovey country.... banyak info pasal swiss kat benang swiss nun.. and london to me, should take more than two days too... banyak weh u boleh tengok in london... termasuk tengok barang2 shopping hehehe
tapi seriously u memanggg kena betul2 baca and digest eurail.com kalau2 u betul2 ada intention nak buy any of the passes. Then only u boleh determine its worth..

10 travelling days within 1 month period : means if u start validate on katelah 1 October then the pass buleh gune sampai 31 October la ye? 10 travelling days means kte boleh travel 10 kali ker? rase mcm salah je tanggapan i tu..hahaha.. I bagi contoh : kalo i dok german dalam tempoh 10 hari..daripada 1 oct sampai 10 oct, with that pass u can travel x kesah la brapa kali la kan..so 11 oct-31 oct tu, pass tu caner? Kalo i pg oct, i buleh start beli jun (3bln sblm erk?)..pass ni kalo beli awal buleh dpt murah ker..or the price tu dah fix? kalo beli pass mase dah smpi kat negara tu tak buleh? |

Betul....kalu u validate your pass on 1 Oct, u bole guna 10 kali until 31 Oct, provided pass yg u beli tu untuk 10 days, within 1 month...dia ada mcm2 jenis pass...ada yg 5 days or less...
Contoh camnie....kalu u travel dari Munich ke Stutggart - 10 kali dari 1 - 10 Oct, abis lah pass u...then u kena lah beli tiket biasa plak...
Btw, kalu u dok kat Stutgart, dan nak travel around d city, u still kena beli diorg punya subway, train ticket.
Yes, u bole start beli awal pass tu....kadang2 diorg ada wat promo...check the website lah... |

tu lah... getting a swiss pass wud be better kalau memang nak stay lama kat swiss and nak gerak2 kat swiss... contoh kalau nak gi geneva, interlaken, zurich, tapi kalau u nak tram ke bus ke kat zurich ke geneva ke i tak pas tu lak pass tu cover ke tak.. tapi kalau u amik france pass... pass tu tak leh guna utk bas and tarin metro diorang...
anyways... cuba u study benang swiss ramai yg pkai swiss pass.... then u bole tanya2 dioarang..
tapi swiss memangggg best

sebab tahun depan cam dah penuh acara jalan2 cari pasal nih 
... weols ingat late fall early winter ni ok sebab my fren tak nak gi time sejuk beku. walau pon i nak gi sangat ttime snow sampai lutut.... er..*sigh* 
..im considering nak beli france pass and swiss pass..france pass tu cover tak metro/bus/transportation kat town? swiss pass cover kan? so bile dah ade pass ni, i rase free like a bird..bebas!
