Toma no Heya Vol.456
It's me Ikuta! I turn 27 years old! I'll be 30 in three years. (Oh Men)
I was congratulated by many people, so alot of birthday presents are
cover on the floor, which makes me happy.
A lot of SAKE bottler, Japanese Alcohol, are great. I'll be drowning by a Sake Ocean.
Oh, I want to tell you about the Tale of Genji Monogatari which means very ol Japanese book.
The story will be a movie which I've acted. Before the movie plays at theaters, the picture book of
Genji will be released tomorrow.
I've acted the characters of the movie Genji Monogatari, so I have worn a lot of costumes.
Many of the staffs of the movie of Genji Monogatari helped me wearing heavy kimonos.
I was very beautiful. The movie is very nice, so I hope everybody come to watch the movie.
Before the movies plays at the theater, please check the pictures on the book of Genji,
which is shown my pictures wearing Kimono.
I hope everybody enjoy the movie and the book!

Toma's room vol. 482
One year ago from today.
I was in Osaka for a stage play.
Osaka was shaken too.
The hot water that was accumulated for bath overflowed from the bath tub.
I thought it was definitely a huge one.
The stage play was only at night on that day. While I was preparing to leave the hotel, I received a call from my manager.
"Are you alright?"
Although it was definitely a huge one, from the way the things were not thrown off, I did not know what had happened.
"A horrible thing has happened. Please turn on the television."
I quickly turned on the television, and saw an unbelievable image.
My heart beat faster.
I stood motionless in front of the television for some time. Before I knew it, it was time to head for the dressing room.
While I was on my way to the venue, I pondered whether the stage play for the day would be cancelled.
I received news that all the performances at Tokyo were cancelled, and I thought this would probably apply to Osaka as well. I had many discussions with the staff and cast.
The conclusion.
Those who can do it will do it.
The audience will come.
Nevertheless, the curtain has to open.
I did my best, and with all I could.
The day of the finale has came.
When the curtain call started, the lights were lighted at the audience seats. During the stage play, I could hardly see the acting. But I could see the audience's expressions.
The smiles of the audience sparkled like light.
I was touched.
Even though I could not do anything, I thought at least I could make the people here at this moment, and at this space, feel happy.
I thought this was everything. I thought this was the only thing I could do.
At any era, in any hardship or disaster, 'theatrical arts' have never disappear. When a person overcomes hardship, when a person lives on. At such a moment, definitely at that time, I felt that culture and arts were necessary.
I believe that the only thing I could do, is through my works, and my existence, to make people cheerful, and to give them courage.
Today while I recalled those memories.
I came to Shizuoka for the movie campaign.
It has been one year since then.
A lot of things had happened in one year.
Today the smiles of the audience also sparkled like light.
Even though I could not participate in the event at Tokyo Dome, to me, this was also Marching J.
The rebuild still takes a long time.
There are still many things that can be done.
I know my ability is limited, but I will do my best to stay by your side.

Finally !!!!
First gathering for Toma fans - from Singapore and Malaysia (mostly around KL  )
so sapa2 yg pernah menjengah ke thread ni akan ku jemput semuanyer ..
