Production on Fast & Furious 7 shut down for now in wake of Paul Walker's death... as it's revealed his charity will receive profits from sixth film's DVD sales

Following the unexpected and tragic death of star Paul Walker, production on Fast & Furious 7 has come to a halt while the cast and crew attempt to salvage the upcoming Universal Pictures summer feature.
'We have half a movie shot and we are working through it,' Universal chairman Donna Langley told Entertainment Weekly on the decision to stop production.
It is unknown at this time when production on the film will resume.

The film was on an accelerated schedule of filming in an effort to release the feature in time for the summer movie season. The seventh installment of the action film franchise was originally set for July 11, 2014.
It is highly unlikely that the film will maintain that summer release date.

Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended ‘Fast & Furious’ family of cast, crew and filmmakers,' stated a Universal rep in a statement released on Wednesday morning.

'At this time, we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise,' said the statement.
'We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker,' concluded the press release.
In addition to the news about the suspended production, new adverts have started airing that reveal some profits from sales of the new Fast And Furious DVD will go to Walker's charity.

NEWS/ Paul Walker Coroner's Report Reveals Actor Died of Traumatic and Thermal Injuries

After conducting autopsies on both men, the office confirmed on Wednesday, Dec. 4, that Rodas, 38, died of multiple traumatic injuries. Walker, 40, died of the combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.
The deaths were ruled to be accidental. Toxicology results are pending and may take several weeks.
After attending a Reach Out WorldWide charity event on Saturday, Nov. 30, Rodas and Walker went for a drive in a Porsche Carrera GT. Their vehicle struck a light pole, two trees and a speed limit sign. When police arrived on the scene in Santa Clarita, Calif., deputies found the vehicle engulfed in flames.

Funeral services for Rodas and the Fast & Furious 6 actor have yet to be announced. Source say Walker's friend and costar Tyrese Gibson has been helping the family with the latter's arrangements.
Walker had been in the midst of filming the seventh installment of the racing franchise at the time of his death. "Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers," the studio told E! News in a statement on Wednesday, Dec. 4. "At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise."

The statement continued, "We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker."

Last tribute to a dead star: Poignant photographs of Fast & Furious star Paul Walker modelling in ad campaign

-Colcci will not be using the images in its advertising campaign
-Hollywood actor modelled the company's Winter 2014 collection
-Colcci have released two pictures of Walker which were to be featured

Exclusive images of Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker modelling for a designer fashion brand have been pulled after he died in a horrific car crash at the weekend.
Colcci, a high-end Brazilian clothes and accessories company, announced that it would be shelving the images taken of the Hollywood actor modelling its Winter 2014 collection as a mark of respect to the family.
Instead they released two pictures from the shoot as a tribute to the actor who was 40. The advertising campaign was due to be launched this month.

In one of the shots the actor sports a sophisticated but casual dark jacket with black and white arm bands, teamed with black trousers and a white shirt.
In the other, looking pensive and rugged, the Fast & Furious star rocks a leather jacket over denim shirt and jeans.
In a statement the Sao Paulo based design house said: 'Colcci deeply regrets the early departure of actor Paul Walker.

'As a tribute we are releasing two images that would have been used in our Winter 2014 brand campaign, photographed last month in New York.
'The brand will not now use the images of the actor in our marketing campaign out of respect for the family who are mourning their devastating loss.'
A spokesperson added that every member of the team involved in the fashion shoot with the deceased actor held fond memories of working with him: '(Paul) was always very caring and helpful with the entire team at all times. The actor stood for simplicity and generosity.'

'In loving memory!' Fast & Furious team release touching YouTube tribute video to Paul Walker

The Fast & Furious team released a touching tribute video featuring franchise star Paul Walker on Wednesday following the actor's recent tragic death.
The two-minute YouTube tribute video features Paul in scenes from the Fast & Furious action films that center on illegal street racing.
The tribute video opens with Paul getting out of a race car with a broad smile on his face in a scene from the 2001 original The Fast And The Furious.

'What are you smiling about,' asked his co-star Vin Diesel portraying street racer Dominic Toretto.
'Dude, I almost had you,' said Paul's undercover cop character Brian O'Conner as a small crowd erupted in cheer behind him.

The video featured a soundtrack of the haunting song Coming Home with vocals by Skylar Grey.
As images flashed showing Paul's character over the years, the song's mournful lyrics hit home.
'Let the rain, wash away, all the pain of yesterday; I know my kingdom awaits, and they've forgiven my mistakes; I'm coming home; I'm coming home.'

The tribute video featured a clip from the franchise's fifth installment Fast Five in which Vin's character offers a toast. 'The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now,' Vin's character said surrounded by his main co-stars, including Paul. 'Salud mi familia,' Vin said as they all clanged their beer bottles together.

The final scene in the tribute video showed Paul on a racetrack leaning against a blue sports car with In Loving Memory written above.
Paul died on Saturday at age 40 while riding as a passenger in a 2005 Porsche Carrerra GT being driven by his friend Roger Rodas following a charity event in Santa Clarita, California.
Both men died when the car hit a pole at a high speed and burst into flames.
A message accompanying the tribute video asked that in lieu of flowers or other gifts that donations be made to Paul's charity Reach Out Worldwide.
