The mega concert of Ziana Zain, the Malaysian diva who will be performing at Jerudong Park Amphitheatre on June 8, will cost the organiser a whopping $195,000.
Some $30,000 is to be spent on stage renovation and refurbishment where the stage's conceptual design had been provided by Puan Kasumawati Haji Hamdan, the proprietor of S.K Dilly's De Production House, concert organiser.
In revealing the astonishing figure to the Borneo Bulletin, she said what is important is the satisfaction of the public who had always wanted to see Ziana Zain performing a memorable concert here.
"Of course profit is also on our mind but we wanted to give the public their money's worth. It is no use to make a large profit if the paying public is not satisfied. They would not come to see the concerts we organise in future if they go home feeling dissatisfied and full of regret," she said.
Ziana Zain is set to sing 22 songs at the "Ziana Zain Unplugged" in the concert which should keep the audience glued to their seats for a total time of 2 hours and 44 minutes. The concert is set to demonstrate her vocal prowess where the songs will come from her first album until the latest, entitled 'Aku Cintakan Mu' (I Love You).
Brunei is also set to become Ziana Zain's fifth solo concert after four previous concerts entitled 'Unplugged', 'Mega Tour', 'Zon Perlindungan' and 'Live In The Park'.
She would also introducing her guest singer, Annuar Zain who will sing songs from his new album including a song composed by His Royal Highness Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, called 'Sesucinya Cintamu'.
Tickets costing $100, $50, $35 and $25 can be purchased at any branch of Dilly's De Beaute in Kiulap, Tutong, and Kuala Belait, Sunil Emporium Tutong, Basement Floor Block B of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and Halim Plaza Tutong. Holders of $100 ticket are entitled to attend a Jamuan Moktil at the 7th Floor of LR Asma Hotel with Ziana Zain.
Ziana will also be interviewed live at Radio Brunei's Pelangi Network 91.4 FM on June 1 at 5 pm.
