BEKAS bintang Manchester United, David Beckham membuat kenyataan bahawa Manchester City tidak mempunyai peluang untuk merangkul juara EPL musim ini.

Beliau berkata demikian di sidang media di Jakarta sempena lawatan LA Galaxy ke Asia Pasifik semalam. Juara Major League Soccer itu akan menentang pasukan Indonesia di Stadium Gelora Bung Karno, esok.

"Pada pendapat saya, City tidak berpeluang untuk menjadi juara. Musim ini mereka mempunyai pasukan dan pemain yang bagus, tetapi Manchester United mempunyai pengalaman yang lebih dan mereka tahu bagaimana untuk memenangi liga." katanya.

Manchester City ketika ini masih di tangga teratas carta EPL dengan rekod tanpa kalah dan mempunyai kelebihan lima mata dari musuh ketat mereka, Manchester United.

Kontrak Beckham bersama LA Galaxy akan berakhir pada bulan Januari tahun depan. Ketika ditanya tentang masa depannya sama ada mahu menyertai kelab gergasi Itali, AC Milan atau kelab dari Perancis, Paris Saint-Germain, beliau hanya menjawab, "Saya ada pilihan sukar yang harus dibuat."

Vidic: Five’s not so high

NEMANJA VIDIC insists no one is pressing the panic button at Old Trafford over Manchester City's five-point lead at the top of the table.
The Manchester United captain said: "When you look at the table we'd obviously prefer to be closer.

"But nobody in the team is panicking. There's more than half the season left to play.

"We have a lot of talent, experience and desire in this squad — certainly enough to win the league again."

United have conceded just one goal in six games since Vidic's return to the defence in mid-October.

The Serb, 30, said: "I've been training well. I feel close to top form."

Manchester City won't win the league - David Beckham

Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham appears to have dismissed Manchester City's chances of winning a maiden Barclays Premier League crown this season.

City currently sit top of the league after a haul of 35 points from their opening 13 fixtures, with the latest coming after a 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

Roberto Mancini's also have a five point cushion on their city rivals, and destroyed United 6-1 at Old Trafford earlier this season.
City can also boast an unbeaten start to the domestic campaign, having won 11 and drawn twice, while scoring 43 goals in the process.

Beckham, however, seems unconvinced by the credentials of the Blues, and expects United's experience to see them to a 20th league crown come May.

"I don't think Manchester City have a chance," the LA Galaxy star is reported to have said, according to MEN.

"This season they have got a good team and have some good players, but Manchester United have more experience and know how to win a championship."

Beckham, meanwhile, has yet to confirm where his future lies following the expiration of his contract with the Galaxy.

Reports last week claimed the 36-year-old had agreed to a big-money deal with nouveau-riche Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
