KUALA LUMPUR: “We could love someone so passionately, but we can never really know what life has in store for us,” said popular singer and actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin.
Always looking on the bright side of life, the 36-year-old artiste who is married to fellow singer and actor Fattah Amin, 27, knows full well that there is no amount of control one can have in determining the future.
“Sometimes life works in funny ways," she said, adding that “sometimes things just don't work out, but you’d still want the best for them."
And Fazura’s take on relationships and life as she knows it, can be found in the lyrics of her latest single Be Honest.
This infectious new tune features New York-based acoustic singer and songwriter Jesse Ruben, who was also involved in the songwriting process, alongside Fazura, Will Snyder and Kyle Patrick.
The lyrics touches on the struggle of moving on and walking away from a relationship, even though the other person is still holding on.
Coming up with the lyrics and melody took them only four hours, before Snyder and Patrick added their magic touch on the production of the song.
“It was such a pleasure working together with Jesse, Will and Kyle,” said Fazura.
“We vibed together so well, making writing the lyrics and working on the flow of the song effortlessly easy,” she said.
Be Honest follows the success of Fazura’s last single, Can't Forget Me, released at the beginning of the year.
Be Honest is out now on all digital platforms worldwide, followed by the release of the official music video later at 10PM.

We haven’t forgotten the success of multi-talented Fazura’s last single “Can’t Forget Me”, and she is now back with a brand new song entitled “Be Honest”.
Catchy and relatable, the track is all about the struggle of moving on from a relationship that one person is still holding on to. “I hope you see, there’s someone else for you and me,” Fazura sings, words that many of us can resonate with.
“Be Honest” also features acoustic singer/songwriter Jesse Ruben, as well as Will Snyder and Kyle Patrick.
The lyrics and melody took only 4 hours to create, after which Snyder and Patrick took over to work their magic on the production end of things. Indeed, magic it is - it’s a pretty infectious song that has us hooked.
