EuRaill Pass kena beli di Msia..mereka tak jual diEurope.
Klau you baca my earlier posting I dapat tahu tentang Eurail ni on the "11th hour" sebelum
bertolak ke Europe..Nak bertolak on 10th Marc..I beli Eurail pass on 7th(Friday) 8th & 9th
(weekend)...mmg last minute giler. According to the travel agent..they got to book from the
EuRail company..rightfully kena beli 1 week sebelum depearture to make sure ticket still available.
I ni kiranya bernasib baik dapat ticket Eurail the other day.

Day9-17/4/06 MUCHEN HBF TO GARE de L扙ST 18/4/06
Depart from Munchen HBF at 2056 and arrived Gare de L扙st at 0658 ..its 8 hrs train ride.
Masih terlalu awal dan banyak pejabat dan kedai2 belum buka. My partner feeling very
uncomfortable sebab kami belum pasti dimana hendak tinggal sebab semalam kami tidak berjaya
untuk membuat tempahan bilik melalui internet. Diidlam kegelisahan menunggu Tourist
Information Counter dibuka, kami didatangani oleh seorang mamat yg berusia didalam 40an.
Saya rasa mamat ni adalah runner untuk pelbagai hotel memandangkan dia membawa beberapa
brochures hotel. Setelah memberitahunya yang kami memerlukan hostel yg murah, dia
cadangkan WOODSTOCK HOSTEL (WH), about 20minutes walking distance from the station.
It is a big challenge to get to WH sebab jalan di PARIS ni amat la bercelaru..terlampau
bercabang2. Apabila kami bertanyakan arah tuju卻aya tidak dapat memahami arah mana
sebenarnya yang ditunjuk sebab dari satu junction to another is so nearby. Anyway..kami
pergi ke WH but we don抰 like the hotel reason being we find that the owner of the hotel,
MARIA was very rude to us. We walked back to the station and by this time the Tourist
Information Counter TIC) was opened.
TIC suggested a hotel (instead of hostel) and the booking was made tru them. We put up
at LA FAYETE HOTEL @ E{30 per room!!. Then we walked at RUE LA FAYETTE ..abt 10 minutes
from the station...for the hotel. (note : Woodstock Hostel nak charge kami E{23 per head}
Masa kat TIC kami beli tiket yg dipanggil MOBILIS berharga E{8 & - membolehkan kami naik
mana2 mode of transportation to travel any part of Paris,. These are the places that we have
visited..

Day10-19/4/06 GARE de L扙ST, PARIS TO LONDON
Pagi 19/4/06卙ari terakhir pengembaraan kami. Kami perlu pergi ke LONDON to catch the
flight to KLIA jam 2230. Semasa mula-mula sampai diLONDON tempoh hari kami turun di
GATWICK AIRPORT..kali ini kami akan take off dr HEATHROW AIRPORT.
By 0630, kami check-out dr LA FAYETE HOTEL, PARIS menuju ke GARE de NORD station.
We need to take the train to BOULOGNE VILLE to CALAIS VILLE then to CALAIS PORT.
I enjoyed every train ride卨ooking at the houses, factories, sungai, jambatan etc
Klau dulu, melintasi English channel kami menaiki EUROSTAR, kali ini kami menaiki ferri.
English Channel..Dr Calais menuju ke Dover.
Saya pernah menaiki feri diPulau Pinang & saya bayangkan feri disini pun sama..rupa2nya ..
feri yang saya naiki (dr syarikat SEA FRANCE) punya la besar 卪empunyai 7 tingkat.
Tingkat 1-5 tempat membawa kenderaan. Yg 2 tingkat lagi ada supermarket & restaurant
serta games Archade.
Ini lah restaurant diatas feri..Itu lah makanan yang "termewah" sepanjang perjalanan kami..
Fish & Chips @ {6.00 (=RM39.00), Poach Salmon {6.00, salad {2.50 (=RM16.25)
& coke {1.30 (=RM8.45).
pemandangan atas feri...boleh main aci lot menyorok , lagi...hehehe..
We thought we can stop by at Highbury Stadium (Arsenal抯 stadium) sebelum ianya ditutup
..tak sempat. The journey from Paris to London amat jauh. Kami bertolak dari jam 0630 dan
tiba di Heathrow jam 1800.
Setiba di Heathrow..kami disambut pleh wanita ini...
Emirates Air hostess.
Akhir sekali....
it had been a tiring journey thru a road less travelled and here i am underneath
'the pyramid of europe' where i'll end my journey ...
clearly it has been tiresome but i'm eager to watch the da vinci code which will be
shown in cinemas near u on the 18th may 06 |
