but for some reasons i kinda like him. there's something about this guy that i can't explain. when he was at inter, the players were 'willing to die' for him. the fighting spirit was tremendous. |

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Pichichi record to become highest goalscorer in a single La Liga season
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has etched his name into Spanish football history after becoming the first player to score more than 38 goals in a single league season en route to the Pichichi trophy.
In his 34th league game of the 2010-11 campaign, the Portuguese sensation found the target for the 39th time on the final day against Almeria at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It took just four minutes for him to bag the historic goal when he stabbed the ball home from close range at the back post after Sergio Ramos had headed a Xabi Alonso free kick across goal.
He now officially surpasses previous record holders Telmo Zarra and Hugo Sanchez, who both amassed 38 goals in 30 and 35 league games respectively. |

Ronaldo breaks La Liga scoring record
Cristiano Ronaldo set a new La Liga scoring record of 40 goals in a single season on the day Deportivo La Coruna dropped out of the top flight.
Ronaldo needed less than five minutes of his side's 8-1 win over relegated Almeria to get his 39th league goal of the campaign, claiming the record outright he had previously held jointly with Real Madrid's Hugo Sanchez (1989/90 season) and the legendary Athletic Bilbao striker Telmo Zarra (1959/60).
Ronaldo also added a second late on to take his tally to an astonishing 53 goals in all competitions.
Emmanuel Adebayor did his hopes of securing a permanent move to Madrid no harm with a hat-trick while a Karim Benzema double and a maiden goal for young substitute Joselu completed the scoring for Jose Mourinho's men.
Almeria's goal came from Kalu Uche midway through the first half when his side were 2-0 down. |
