anyway, flight ke nz and ke luar dr nz di batalkan sbb ash dr gunung berapi kat Chile. huhuhu..xtau laa smpao bila. hopefully, by sy nk pegi sana dh ok. insyaALLAH.

Kawan2, nak tanya klu i drive sendiri from Christchurch (CHC) to Queenstown (QTN) direct, sambil menyinggah along the way di tempat2 yg menarik for photoshoots spt Ashburton - Timaru - Fairlie - Lake Tekapo - Lake Pukaki - Cromwell,  u all rasa penat tak perjalanan mcm ni? should i just take CHC - Lake Tekapo je and put up a nite at Lake Tekapo then continue the journey the next day to QTN? Any suggestion?
FYI, we'll b going there in Nov, will b in SI from 17 - 23 Nov.

    i rse better u overnight kat lake tekapo dlu. then, the next morning bru gerak pegi queenstown. kalo u nk abes kn dlm masa 1 hari i rse sgt2 terburu-buru. since, u pn ckp nk bwt photoshoots, msti byk stop2 kn. better jgn rush.

Christchurch hit by 5.5 earthquake

Christchurch has been struck by a powerful 5.5 magnitude earthquake which was felt as far south as Dunedin.
The quake was at a depth of 11km, centred 10km south of Christchurch, off the coast of Sumner.

"People started running out of the building, they were quite frightened."

The shake was felt in Ashburton, Timaru and Dunedin.

Earlier today a 4.3-magnitude quake hit near Darfield in central Canterbury.

Residents have taken to Twitter to post about the quake, with many describing it as powerful and estimating it at a near 6 magnitude.

Lilmagoolie said her house "wobbled like crazy" - with the shaking almost as bad as the February shock.

"Big quake. House still moving. Alarms going off everywhere."

Mattdeevee said: "oh my gosh that was so scary!!!!!! Biggest since Feb by far 5.9?!"

Nathanael Boehm, NathanaelB, said he was ready to jump out a
"Was up and ready to leap out a window if it started coming down!"

Joy Reid of TVNZ tweeted about being in Riccarton mall: "Stuff fell off shelves.people crying.everyone leaving," she tweeted.

Jetstar, Qantas cancellations

Jetstar and Qantas have cancelled a number of their trans-Tasman and domestic flights as a safety measure, with all checkout counters at Auckland International Airport closed this morning.

A Qantas spokesman said all New Zealand and Tasmania flights have been cancelled for the rest of today.

"We will be assessing tomorrow's flights later in the day," he said.

Flights to and from Melbourne flights are cancelled until 3pm NZT, when Qantas will reassess the situation. Three international flights have also been cancelled to Buenos Aires and Los Angeles.

Jetstar has cancelled 24 domestic and international flights today, including one flight from Auckland to Singapore and one flight from Singapore to Auckland.

A decision on afternoon flights will be made at 3.30pm NZT.

Huwaaaaaaaaa..........berbelah bagi jadinya camni. kenapa tempat saya nak pergi jadi macam ni. Hari tu beria-ia saya nak ke Padang dan nyaris-nyaris nak beli tiket tapi tak beli. Lepas tu Padang gempa teruk di waktu2 yang saya plan nak ke sana tu.

Ya Allah,  Berikanlah kami hati yang kuat untuk boleh membuat keputusan yang baik. Berikanlah kami semua petunjuk.

    tq budak2..... yep then we'll put up a nite at Tekapo. u dah x lama lg nak b'angkat kan bdk2... hrp2 by then kejadian gempa tu dah reda... i pun panic jugak ni, semakin m'jadi2 pulak kejadian gempa ni dah smpai Ashburton pun terasa....hmmmm kita semua terselamat dr segala acaman bahaya...AMIN.

i plan dh sampai Tekapo nanti , after chk in blh jln2 ke Lake Pukaki n klu sempat blh terus ke Mt cook tourist ctr, thn back to Tekapo for dinner.

the next day (Day 4): Tekapo - Twizel - Omarama - via Lyndis Pass-Cromwell- Qtn (arrive QTN by noon) , after lunch dah blh buat pelbagai aktiviti di QTN : skyline, gondola, luge, cable car, bungee jumping etc

here's the thing.... now m not sure whether i shud stay in QTN for 2N or proceed to Te Anau the next day for Milford Cruise on the following days.

Yg pastinya ,
Day 6: must visit Arrowtown (cowboy town like), Wanaka (puzzle town) - Haast - Franz Josef
Day 7: Franz Jozef - Greymouth - Arthur's Pass- CHC
Day 8: fly from CHC to Wellington

So Day 5 & day 6 , masih dlm dilemma lgi.... should we put up a nite at Te Anau on Day 5, n go to Milford Sound the next day.... or should we just stay at QTN and buy a package (coach-cruise-coach) to depart from Qtn ... m so so clueless!!!

my concern is Day 6 n Day 7 tu rasanya mcm need a veryyy looongg drive, so perhaps after all the driving perhaps we need to santai a bit... I dunno...cant imagine how tiringcan it be...never do a road trip this long before...

boleh Otai2 di sini memberikan pandangan dan pendapat berdasarkan pengalaman kalian? TQVM.
