Iniesta: Barcelona would've exploded with Capello in charge

Andres Iniesta says Barcelona would have imploded this season if Fabio Capello had been in charge.

"Frank Rijkaard is the right coach for Barcelona," said Iniesta. "He is one of only a few coaches who know how to handle big stars.

"If Capello had been in charge, we would have exploded months ago."

Barcelona's Saviola reveals Juventus, Real Madrid offers

Barcelona striker Javier Saviola has revealed he has offers from some of Europe's biggest clubs for next season.

Off contract in June, Saviola said: "Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Real Madrid are all great clubs and I would be happy playing for any one of them.

"I will consider all offers and make a decision calmly. For now, I have not signed with anyone."

Lyon's Tiago in Barcelona sights

Olympique Lyon midfielder Tiago is being linked with Barcelona.

Barca coach Frank Rijkaard has made it a priority to land a holding midfielder for next season and the Portugal international is high on his shopping list.

A deal involving Sylvinho and Ludovic Giuly moving in the opposite direction has been mooted.

Del Bosque: Barcelona Still Favourites For Title

Former Real Madrid coach Vicente del Bosque believes that Frank Rijkaard and his boys are still the favourites to win the La Liga title.

"Barcelona FC are the big favourites," said an honest Del Bosque at a function this morning.

"However, if I were within the club, I would also tall the Real Madrid players that they can do it.

"Madrid have improved a lot lately, and can win it, but Barcelona are that main candidates.

"I believe that most people are of the same opinion. Real Madrid must not fail, and then hope that Barcelona do."

MADRID, May 10 (Reuters) - Bernd Schuster's Getafe staged the comeback of the season to thrash Barcelona 4-0 and snatch a place in their first ever King's Cup final despite losing the first leg 5-2.

Barca, who have won the competition 24 times, were out-thought, out-fought and out-played by their modest opponents who claimed a thoroughly deserved 6-5 win on aggregate and will meet treble-chasing Sevilla in the final at the Bernabeu.

Getafe laid siege to the Barcelona area from the first whistle, but despite creating a string of chances they did not take the lead until seven minutes before the break when midfielder Francisco Casquero volleyed home after a corner.
