Personally, aku rasa Sully lg best drp billy jane ang lee tu..takpe, kita tunggu aje announcement  ...

dah keluar..
akhirnya african american ade gak pencalonan best director setelah sekian lama - barry jeckin
and dia pun baru menang new york critic awards/los angeles critic award best director
biasanya oscar mgkn akn calonkan dia, tp tak bg kemenangan dulu
spt berlaku pd director ang lee, coen brothers, martin scorsce, alejandro g inarittu
2-3 filem arahan mereka kemudian br dpt oscar..
yg plg excellence ang lee & alejandro g inarittu..

best actress, as usual, sume nama kita predict ade dlm nominations:

amy adam, annete bennings (LOCKED) , emma stone (on hold dulu sbb few critics awards tak de nama dia menang at least 2nd place), natalie portman (LOCKED) , ruth negga & isabelle huppert  (LOCKED)

best actor plak nama2 ni gini berulang2 dr critic choices, ke anugerah kritik negeri smpilah ke gg skrg:

cassey affleck (LOCKED) , andrew garfield, denzel washington, joel edgerton, ryan gosling

best supporting actor:
mahershala ali  (LOCKED) , jeff bridges & dev patel

best supporting actress:
michelle william (LOCKED) ,viola davis (LOCKED) , naomi harris
(octavia spenser tercalon gg, manakala janelle morelle tercalon critic choices)

klimaks nya, tunggu dga, sga & wga dekat2 akhir dec nanti...
aku sonok lagi tunggu screen guild award , sbb yg menang kt sga, almost menang oscar...

                                                        Variety Staff                                Follo ...

Tengss sbb tepek nomintions list for GG and critic's choice winner..aku nk ingat buat smlm tp malas plak.

GG nominations pun dah kuar, as usual ada la yg sembang filem ni kena snub la, actor/actress ni pun kena snub la. Ni list yg yg kena snub for GG kali ni:

Finding Dory. Although it's the highest-grossing movie of the year, Disney/Pixar's well-reviewed sequel to 2003's Finding Nemo was overlooked for best animated feature. In its place were blockbusters Zootopia, Moana and Trolls, stop-motion fantasy Kubo and the Two Strings, the upcoming Sing and the French-language film My Life As A Zucchini.

Sully. Clint Eastwood's latest soared at the box office, but didn't land with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The true-life tale — which tracks the aftermath of airline pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger's miraculous emergency landing on the Hudson River in 2009 — scored no nominations, missing out in key categories including best drama, director (Eastwood) and actor (Tom Hanks).

Silence. Martin Scorsese's passion project was entirely shut out, despite its legendary director and starry cast (Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson). The challenging 17th-century religious epic, which has been nearly 30 years in the making, was snubbed for best drama, directing (Scorsese) and acting.

Denzel Washington. The two-time Oscar winner landed a best actor nomination for Fences, as did his co-star Viola Davis for supporting actress. But the big-screen adaptation of August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play failed to secure nods for best drama or director (Washington).

Jackie. Natalie Portman's captivating portrayal of former first lady Jackie Kennedy earned her another Golden Globe nomination for best actress in a drama, which she won in 2011 for Black Swan. But the unconventional biopic couldn't break into categories such as best drama, original screenplay or director (Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín).

Taraji P. Henson. The actress stars in the upcoming Hidden Figures and Fox's Empire, for which she was nominated last year. But Henson was passed over in both movie and TV acting categories, although her Hidden Figures co-star Octavia Spencer scored a nod for best supporting actress.

Lucas Hedges. Critical darling Manchester by the Sea swept up major nominations across the board, including best drama, director (Kenneth Lonergan), original screenplay, actor (Casey Affleck) and supporting actress (Michelle Williams). Missing from the pack? A supporting actor nomination for Lucas Hedges, who gives a sensitive, lightly comedic performance as a grieving teenager.

Every actress can play Emma's character on La La Land, BUT not every actress can play Natalie Portman's Jackie.

terjumpa satu komen kat twetter

Every actress can play Emma's character on La La Land, BUT not e ...

isu yg sama gak mase reese witherspoon menang best actress oscar dulu...

setakat ni role musical comedy ni plg last mase nicole kidman - moulin rouge dulu...emma stone mungkin the latest kot... kan @cyclops_psycho ?

next year onwards nicole kidman menang melalui filem Hours (berlin silver bear best actress winner) kalahkan julianne moore - far from heaven (critic's love & volpi cup winner) & penelope cruz (sga winner) .. thn plg kompetitif..

kebetulan thn ni , emma stone menang volpi cup mengalahkan natalie dan amy adam mase tayangan venice film festival dulu...

tp tulah tunggu screen guild award (sga) bg kemenangan kt sape
yg ni sgt klimaks..

Kemenangan Reese Witherspoon as a June Carter tu bagi aku sgt overrated dan pd aku, performance dia biasa2 je dan takde la memukau sgt. Felicity Huffman lg deserved menang thn tu melalui Transamerica. Mungkin sbb Reese ni ala2 sweetheart america, semua org dok lobi dia menang...same goes to Sandra Bullock dlm The Blind Side and Jennifer Lawrence in SLP.

Btw @dauswq, role musical yg terakhir menang Oscar bukan la Reese tapi Marion Cotillard melalui La Vie En Rose. The best part pasal kemenangan Marion ni, dia memintas last minute calon feveret time tu..First dia menang kat GG (Musical & Comedy)..kalah kat SAG kpd Julie Christie (front runner time tu dlm filem Away From Her)...then menang kat BAFTA sblm menang Oscar.

Kesimpulannya, watak musical plg best so far ialah Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf, then Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge) and Renee Zellweger melalui Chicago. Tak sabar nk tgk La La Land and nilai sendiri lakonan Emma Stone.
