Not true, there is Al Maunah, racial riots at Klang, Penang and lots of fanatics in Msia.

We will offer refuge to refugees from Msia just in case. Just like yu offer refuge to Thai refugees just in case.

Pak Lah is our prime minister who speaks his mind and whatever comes from his mouth is actually from his heart and when he offers the refugees a place in Malaysia he really meant it and there will be a place for those refugees. Do you really have a place for malaysian refugees besides offering your small room in a flat that you have to share with someone like mat'roket unless if you become the president of Singapore but i still think that Singapore is too crowded to provide refugees a place in that country..heheh.

Are you a Malaysian???? Malaysia is not second penyibuk, mind you. Malaysia is offering assistance because Thailand shares its borders with us on the north and we offer assistance, if they asked for it ONLY!!!! US have no businees here and there.

You don't know much about Politics, do you?

Malaysia also offered to sit down in a peace negotation between "uak Pemisah Kashmir" (trained by Pakistan) and India, between Philipine and Abu Sayyaf and finally, trying to do something for Israel-Palestine situation now that the war had broken out.

Funny thing was ... they are not doing anything for "uak Pemisah Tamil Elam" in Sri Lanka, hardly do anything for Burma's political situation, despite of UN sending a Malaysian as an Ambassodor to Burma a few month ago and hardly do anything Afghan's rebuilding but did voice out loud during the war.

Yup ... Malaysia is 2nd "enyibuk" in the world. ;)

And just because one is a Malaysian, it doesn't mean he/she have to be a Yes-Man to everything the government does. Other wise, this country is not a democratic country like it claims to be.

Al-Maunah had been crushed. Didn't you know about that. Their leader captured, surrendered willingly and their followers, regretted it.. The scale of Al-Maunah was so small, up to the thing that only arms were robbed and 2 or 3 military personel units killed, non-destruction to civillian areas, no-destruction to civilians. Penang????? Pulau Pinang mana ada?????:spd:

Thailand prolem is their own problem..We Malaysians have no rights to say anything in their affairs.Just because they are of same race and religion means nothing in this problem..

Quote
KUALA LUMPUR, April 30: Malaysia is willing to offer temporary refuge to Thais fleeing troubled provinces in southern Thailand, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said on Friday. "It will not be refugee camps but some arrangements must be made," the official Bernama news agency quoted him as saying.

"They will want a place of refuge until peace returns to their area and, with the uncertainty at present, naturally they will want to come over here," Abdullah said. This week's violence just across Malaysia's border, in which more than 100 young Muslims were killed, has outraged many of the country's majority Muslim Malays.

Particularly shocking was the army's killing of 34 guerillas sheltering in a mosque in the town of Pattani after they had attacked security posts. Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak is to lead a Malaysian delegation to Bangkok next week to obtain a clear picture of the violence in the mainly Muslim region.

Najib said his trip did not mean Kuala Lumpur was interfering in Thailand's internal affairs. "We respect Thailand's sovereignty and our stance is that what happened in southern Thailand is the country's own internal matter," said Najib, who is also defence minister.

"We have no desire to interfere, but in the spirit of neighbourliness and in the spirit of ASEAN we need to talk and exchange ideas so that we can give our views to the Thai government and strengthen co-operation among ourselves," he said. -Reuters

Firstly, there are no refugees. The act of offering refuge when there are no refugees is therefore an interference in Thailands' affairs although Najib denies it.
In other words, it is not what yu claim but what yu actually did and said that matters and it is very natural for the Thais to take offense with what pak lah said.
Of course, we all know that pak lah said what he said to play to the domestic muslim crowd, to show them that he somehow cares formuslism across the border when it is non Muslims such as monks in southern Thailand that are being murdered by muslim seperatists.

This is silly! The way our government offering refuge is like Thailand is on mass massacre. How demeaning that move would be interpreted by simpletons.

Your senior minister Lee Kuan Yew once said that Singapore prefers to deal with the BN government rather than the PAS government, isn't that interfering in our domestic affairs in your terms and definition???
