Troubleshoot Your Gearing System

Noisy in neutral with engine running

- Input shaft bearings worn (noise apparent with clutch pedal released, but not when depressed)

Clutch fails to disengage (unable to select gears)

- Hydraulic fluid level too high
- Clutch disc sticking on gearbox input shaft splines
- Clutch disc sticking to flywheel or pressure plate
- Faulty pressure plate assembly
- Clutch release mechanism worn or incorrectly assembled

Clutch slips (engine speed increases, with no increase in vehicle speed)

- Hydraulic fluid level too high
- Clutch disc linings excessively worn
- Clutch disc linings contaminated with oil or grease
- Faulty pressure plate or weak diaphragm spring

Judder as clutch is engaged

- Clutch disc linings contaminated with oil or grease
- Clutch disc linings excessively worn
- Faulty or distorted pressure plate or diaphragm spring
- Worn or loose engine or gearbox mounting
- Clutch disc hub or gearbox input shaft splines worn

Judder as clutch is engaged

- Worn clutch release bearing
- Worn or dry clutch pedal bushes
- Faulty pressure plate assembly
- Pressure plate diaphragm spring broken
- Broken clutch disc cushioning springs

Bahagian Penting Kereta Perlu Dijaga

Service Setiap 10,000 Km

Steering
Periksa setiap sambungan dan komponennya setiap 10,000 km. Periksa paras minyak stering setiap minggu.

Hawa dingin
Periksa sistem penghaus dingin, saluran getah, penyambung dan kebocoran pada sistem penyejuk setiap 20,000 km.

Klac
Periksa sistem cluth bagi memastikan `free plag' kehausan penggunaannya bagi setiap 5,000 km.

Sistem transmisi/kotak gear

Suspensi
Periksa sistem gantungan, bahagian bawah, mounting penghentak berat, penyambung bebola yang longgar, bocor dan haus setiap 20,000 km.

Drive shafts/propeller shaft

Sistem elektrik
Periksa penyambung elektrik, swith, lampu, hos, wiper, sistem caj, perjalannan bagi setiap 10,000 km. Periksa peyambung elektrik, swith, lampu, hos, wiper, sistem caj, perjalanan bagi setiap 10,000 km.

Timing/drive belt

Enjin:

    * Enjin 憈une up' bagi setiap 10,000 km
    * Ujian tekanan (compression) setiap 40,000 km
    * Tukar pelincir bagi setiap 5,000 km
    * Tukar penapis minyak pelincir bagi setiap 10,000 km
    * Tukar penapis angin/minyak bagi setiap 40,000 km
    * Tukar palam pencucuh bagi setiap 20,000 km
    * Tukar `contact point' setiap 10,000 km

Radiator/sistem penyejuk
