Ada tak pengkelasan tentang jenis2 "philosophical films"... The general idea or underlying theme...

I'm not that open minded... Need to be selective...

I believe that no one is open minded. Except only certain few. Their number in Malaysia  will be countable by our hand (just the right hand, not a pair of hand),  if they even exist in such a small country as Malaysia.

Most people mistakenly believe that they are open minded when in reality, they only believe what's comfortable with them. When new ideas surfaced into their life, they will experience cognitive dissonance and in the extreme cases, attack the ideas vehemently.

But that is ok.

With all the thing, the negativity around us today, we must select what  to feed our mind with. Because if you're like most people (me included) anything around us will influence us to a lesser or greater extent. The same like you choose what to eat, what's good for your body.

Or maybe we're invincible from all this, all the influence from the environment, just like the chronic smoker who think that smoking will never harm him...

That's why I choose not to be open minded. Only open minded to certain things...

maybe this definition of open mind is a bit different from what most people usually associate...

A filter. You can stop development, but you can work with the development...don't let it work at you...

I've come to believe that an awful lot of what most people call wisdom is simply NOT any kind of "wisdom" I want to take on...

Thsi goes for "philosophical wisdom" too...

So I choose...
