Meet The '06 Squad!

Just as the Eagles' roster takes on a new shape for next season, the 2006 Eagles Cheerleaders Squad is welcoming some new faces. The entire squad will be introduced to the public at the official Eagles Draft Day Party on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
Sixteen rookies were selected to the 38-member team following the April 19 Final Auditions. They will join a group of 22 returning veterans that will perform at Eagles home games and will also represent the organization at corporate, community and charity-related events.

"We were greatly impressed with the level of talent at this year's final audition at the Keswick Theatre," said cheerleading director Barbara Zaun. "It was extremely competitive and the top 38 women that emerged to become the new 2006 squad encompass all of the qualities the Eagles Cheerleaders represent.

"They are about to embark on an exciting new season and time in their life. As members, they will be afforded many unique opportunities and experiences by being a part of an elite squad in the NFL, including modeling in national publications and a highly-publicized calendar, performing for thousands of fans at Eagles games and representing the organization as ambassadors regionally, nationally and internationally. We are looking forward to working with this outstanding group of women."

Featured in FHM, Maxim and traveling overseas to ring in the Chinese New Year in Hong Kong, the Eagles Cheerleaders continue to make headlines.

This sweet 16 includes a well-rounded group of young women, including an accountant, a pharmaceutical sales representative, a business development specialist as well as students majoring in everything from dance and choreography to one pursuing a major in geography and planning and minors in political science and Latin American studies.

Returning veterans include Adrienne, Allison, Amy, Amanda, Ashley, Carly, Caroline, Christina, Janet, Janette, Lora, Tara, Tia, Valerie, Janipher, Krystle, Pam, Jennifer, Paige, Lindsey, Teressa and Stephanie.

"I knew when I became an Eagles Cheerleader last year that it would be an incredible experience. That's an understatement," said Jennifer, who is entering her second year. "I never imagined how big and great it would be. From being on the field to the calendar shoot to the Hong Kong trip.

"I had to be at work at 6 a.m. the morning after the Finals [last week]. So I had to sit and sweat it out for three hours before I could call the hotline and see if I made the team."

The rookie class includes Alysse, Alyssa, Amanda B., Amanda N., Megan, Victoria, Vittoria, Lauren, Tiffany, Gina, Jamie, Alicia, Kristie, Kjersti, Tawnya and Charissa.
