Cendawan,

If you you "watches" then you should use the Simple Present tenses and the correct usage should be:-

Malik watches television for one and a half hours everyday / every night.

as 1 1/2 hours is more than one than you should use "hours' ie the plural form of "hour"

correct me if I'm wrong

penggunaan 'a' atau 'an' ...dulu kat sekolah nk senang igt ...my teacher always taught us this..the golden rule

whatever words that starts with A E I O U

is to be used 'an' before them

Salam kawan2,

For the 'a' and 'an' tu the rules nak guna nya bukan dari segi spelling but bunyi awalan nya..Thats why sesetengah words bukan spellingnya mula dengan a,e,i,o,u tetapi guna jugak 'an' eg

an honest man
an honour
an hour

Yg atas ni semuanya silent 'h' dan bunyi awalannya ialah 'o'

sesetengah words spellingnya mula dengan a,e,i,o,u tetapi tak guna jugak 'an' eg

a university
a European man
a eurasian

Yg atas ni x guna 'an' sebab bunyinya ialah 'yew' dan bukan bunyi aeiou

1)i was make a mistake tu cam tak btul je...
kalau simple past tense = 'i made a mistake'
means saya telah melakukan kesalahan.

________________________________

2)kalau guna 'was' kene tambah 'ing' kat belakang verb... contoh:
i was making a mistake at that time
ni nama dia past progressive
maknanya kita cerita benda yg sedang kita lakukan pd masa lalu
kalau dlm bm tu...masa aku pegi rumah dia semalam dia tgh tido..
benda tu berlaku semalam...tp dia sedang buat (semalam)

_________________________________

3)'i have made a mistake' ni nama dia present perfect simple
ni nama aje 'present' tp ianya sudah berlaku tapi memberi kesan kepada masa sekarang.

_________________________________

4)i had made a mistake = past perfect simple
tense ni menekankan kepada fakta/perkara yg berlaku, bukan kepada masa (duration) perkara itu berlaku
_________________________________

tambahan:

5)i have been making a mistake = present perfect progessive
maknanya dulu2 pun kita dah buat satu kesalahan, sekarang pun buat satu kesalahan dan mungkin in future pun kita akan buat satu kesalahan

6)last sekali past perfect progressive.
contoh ayat: 'i had been making a mistake'
ni menekankan kepada masa kepada perkara yg berlaku...
contohnya: i had beeh making a mistake since last week...

keterangan lanjut saya serahkan pd yg lebih arif...saya tau guna aje
ni baru citer pasal PAST TENSES aje tau

cikgutuition thank you for providing the info regarding your latest publication. I will definitely pass the info on to my sister who is currently very keen to learn or improve her english.

once more, thank you. I think this is the best idea that a malaysian created an english learning book for other malaysians who share similar culture and need. most of the english books are very much based on either UK english based or american based. my sister finds it  a tad difficult to follow at times.

malaysia boleh

Hi mayutaka,

grammatically it is correct, but (it is a BIG but),  who carried out the action?  If someone else did the printing and photocopying for you, then it is correct.
However, it is grammatically wrong if you, yourself carried out the action. In this situation you might want to say

I printed my resume and photocopied all the related documents. Simple past tense

hope this helps.
