i think someone ada buat this topic but i didnt find it so i'm gonna make a new one anyway.

hello semua,

i have just finished reading this book, and i found out it to be heavily biased on political agenda eventhough it used indirect character and protaganist...
it was written in the midst of world war II and the storyline goes around the precedence that was happening at that time.
to me his writing was direct and absolutely clever!

cume bile dah sampai part Napolean The Leader took over Manor Farm from Snowball, i felt it is a bit the same about local administration in Malaysia.
what say u guys?

buku ni pernah digunakan masa i degree dulu, untuk Advance Mgmt English course...
for me, it's interesting, esp the horse character... sebab horse tu melambangkan orang yang ignorant tentang perubahan disekitarnya, dan mementingkan diri sendiri...

sounds familiar eh, macam ahli politik kat malaysia je?

nk kena p cari, but george orwell, is a good writer

lemme recall....

ada leaders yang consists of pigs since the first Animal Farm revolution yang initiated by the old Major...then being replaced by Snowball n then tak lama kemudian diguling oleh Napoleon...
it so ironic because the characters were all consist of animals but it reflects the current stats of world leadership.

because when the old Major ruled the farm, it really started off with a revolution that scared off Mr + Mrs Jones then the animals mcm grateful + happy that they had freedom. then they make up the contitutions that would rule the Farm and at this level, it is pure democracy where everyone is equal and contributed to the development of the farm. walaupun the old Major ruled as the leader, he is equal, shown respect by the animals...

the novel is basically a reflection of the communist revolution in russia. Orwell tried to reach the public conscience via a light reading material but full of messages. all the characters can be related to real life characters (or group of people) in the russian revolution. excellent work and a nice intro to the heavier materials in his other novel '1984' - while not fulfilling in the end with the Soviet's collapse but taught us a lot about the power of propaganda (or 'communication').

bukanlah tak bagus, tapi kalau suke cerita politik.. sesuai la this novel

buku ni dulu buku wajib mase aku hamek matric tesl ... kelas lit ... sebab cover buku tu comel sgt ... kitorang panggil buku ni buku b*b* comel ... ekekekeke ... aku x pnh seriusly abeskan bace buku ni pon ... time kelas la baru terhegeh2 nak bukak buku bace .... hehehe

gorg pula baca ni dlm 5 thn yg lepas.... ingat tak ingat jer....

ni utk paper Lit & Media.... kena buat assgmnt comparison books n film....

lepas baca ni...kena tengok movienya....
gorg prefer buku lebih jelas... sbb movie nya musikal.... ( + geli eeeee.tengok gajah pendek tuuu...)

We had this book for English Literature...when I was in Form 4..such a good book...All animals are equal tapi at the end...all animals are not equal..some are superior than others..
