OK.

If you've read nanamiri's AF5 thread than you'll understand why I opened up this topic

.  There are a lot of talented singers, musicians and composers in Brunei and all of them are underrated.

So, I did a lil search online, hoping to get samples of these Brunei talent to post.  Unfortunately... there are not that many.

Born in 1972, he is only one of several pop singers in Brunei, but heproved that he is an accomplished performer by participating in severalinternational song festivals, such as ASEAN Golden Vocalist Festival.His self-produced single "SMS" climbed to the hit charts at KrystalRadio, Brunei's first privately-owned FM radio station.

Just to add, he is also a very successful lawyer/barrister (ex judge if I remember correctly) . This guy is as talented as they come. He produces, composes and is a terrific singer.

I will be the first to admit that when I saw his name, it didn't register recognition. Only when I read this interview I remembered an office mate telling me he was good. At that time I wasn't that interested in Passport 2 Fame so the singers didn't really appeal to me.

However, after watching the video clip on you tube I was really impressed. What do you think?

Agree with cal.. Hans is very talented...in singing composing songs..

hom ever attended a live performance by Hans... and I really like his vocal..

and he has a successful law firm too ekkk...

Zul F is also another successful singer in Brunei... but singing as usual is not a career for him...

may be it's just a part-time thingy... he has ever recorded an album in Australia if I am not mistaken... correct me if I am wrong... with a band that is..

he has good vocal... good showmanship too... if he is taken as AF student surely he can challenge even EBI...

Zul F is a graduate from UBD and currently teaching somewhere...

There is also another singer...known as "the singing nurse"...

hom lupa his name...he is also a talented singer... but as usual in Brunei he has another career as a nurse with the govt hosiptal...

Was trying to remember other artists that are really good composers and singers... then I remembered Ak Mohd Yusri Pg Hj Yahya. Talented singer, good composer. I am actually old enough to remember his first appearance in Bintang Kecil

Then there is the Rezal Malek Faesal family. Pg Shaiful is now a police inspector, not sure what the other brothers do. I think one of them works in a bank. Lupa ku nama-nama dorang.

Awu bana tu. Semua ada Malek Faisal. Kira glamour lah dorang ani masa dulu dulu. I think Pg Samsul is the one yang ada production house. Wonder kalau anak2 dorang ikut menyanyi.
