Sblm Starcraft II kuar, dulu Blizzard ada membangunkan program Starcraft: Ghost (genre FPS) utk PS 2 ngan X-Box, tp projek tu tak diteruskan. Tp depa sempat kuarkan trailer Starcraft Ghost, mmg cool abis!

Ya, sapa blh lupa game StarCraft waktu ia dikeluarkan pd 1998. 9 thn dulu, game ini memecah tradisi game genre Real Time Strategy (RTS) dgn menampilkan 3 spesis yg berlainan yg bermusuhan serta unit2 yg berbeza mengikut spesifikasi spesis2 tersebut. Protoss, Zerg & Terran (kita le tu) berebut tanah jajahan, sumber alam & penguasaan galaktik ke atas sektor Koprulu, yg menyaksikan perjuangan hidup mati antara setiap spesis.








Sehingga kini, francais StarCraft berkembang dgn 2 game PC (Starcraft & Starcraft: BroodWar), bbrp novel serta e-book & manga (di Korea) ... tp yg paling penting, ia merupakan acara penting utk Kejohanan Game Antarabangsa.

Di Korea Selatan shj, sirkit pro-StarCraft menyaksikan ramai pemain pro mendapat sponsor & ada yg mendapat pendapatan sehingga USD $ 200,000.

No wonder pelancaran rasmi StarCraft 2 di buat di Korea Selatan.

I was disappointed when I found out that starcraft ghost is not for PC...

I wonder why blizzard never made it to pc....

It is like Tomb Raider travel in time to fight the zergs

Mothership Protoss tu jenis uber-unit. Cuma sebijik je yg blh dibina & digunakan bagi satu2 misi .... uber unit spesis lain taktau lg. Apa yg best, unit Zergling yg selalu jd cannon fodder tuh dah ada ability baru, jd unit kamikaze aka pejuang berani mati ala infected Terran Marines!

Well, sufficed to say, the game simply do not generated much interest amongst the fandom. Besides, Starcraft has always being meant for PC, so doing a Starcraft FPS for console is risky for Blizzard, since there are just too many FPS console games out there with better storyline & gameplay. So they abandoned the project.

BTW, there is still hope. If I'm not mistaken, there is already an e-book on Starcraft: Nova which is based from the cancelled game. It seems StarCraft Ghost do exist, but in novel format & part of the SC continuity.
