Kekadang kita sering bertanya, susah sangatke nak jadi mahir dalam bahasa Inggeris?



Susah sangat kah nak jadi fasih dalam bahasa Inggeris?



Susah sangat kah nak buat ayat dengan betul dalam bahasa Inggeris?



Kalau anda tanya soalan ini kepada saya, jawapannya TIDAK! Kenapa tidak?



Kalau jawapannya TIDAK SUSAH kenapa ramai orang Malaysia sekarang ini yang tidak mahir dalam bahasa Inggeris? Kenapa ramai orang Malaysia sekarang ini yang sukar untuk berkomunikasi dengan baik dalam bahasa Inggeris? Kenapa ramai orang Malaysia sekarang ini yang sekadar boleh bertutur dalam bahasa Inggeris dengan menggunakan bahasa pasar sahaja?





Kalau anda tanya soalan ini kepada saya sekali lagi, jawapannya ialah ramai yang masih lemah dalam TATABAHASA bahasa Inggeris atau English Grammar. Hakikatnya, Grammar tidak ditekankan di sekolah rendah, tidak ditekankan di sekolah menengah dan tidak ditekankan di kolej-kolej dan universiti. Ya, memang ada di ajar tetapi tidak DITEKAN kan aspek grammar ini. Apa yang lebih ditekankan ialah functional English di mana pelajar-pelajar lebih disuruh membuat karangan dan bercakap dalam bahasa Inggeris dan akibatnya ramai orang Malaysia yang tidak berkemampuan membuat ayat dengan betul dalam bahasa Inggeris.





Dalam kursus Asas-Asas Komunikasi bahasa Inggeris dan Intermediate Grammar yang saya jalankan sekarang ini di Sunway dan Putrajaya saya memang tekankan aspek tatabahasa atau grammar bahasa Inggeris. Sememangnya ramai yang menghubungi saya bertanyakan tentang kursus penulisan dan juga kursus perbualan bahasa Inggeris kerana mereka menyangkakan lebih cepat untuk mereka mahir jika mereka terus menghadiri kursus-kursus sebegini. Hakikatnya saya lebih suka menjalankan kursus-kursus tatabahasa kerana masih ramai yang masih lemah dalam bahasa Inggeris dari segi aspek tatabahasa.



TIADA JALAN SINGKAT. Itulah hakikatnya jika anda ingin mahir dalam bahasa Inggeris. BERITA BURUKNYA ialah anda perlu kuasai aspek Grammar jika nak mahir dalam bahasa Inggeris.



TETAPI, ada berita baiknya pula. Apa dia? Berita baiknya ialah:-



1. Banyak aspek grammar bahasa Inggeris sebenarnya mirip tatabahasa bahasa Melayu. Dalam BM dan BI anda perlu tahu Kata Nama, Kata Ganti Nama, Adjektif, Adverba, Kata Sendi dan sebagainya. Ini bermakna taklah susah sangat anda nak faham tatabahasa English ni.



2. Cara paling cepat nak mahir dalam bahasa Inggeris ialah dengan menguasai Grammar. Tak perlu baca buku-buku bahasa Inggeris banyak2 tapi kalau boleh ingat peraturan dan hukum dalma Grammar bahasa Inggeris secara otomatik bahasa Inggeris anda boleh menjadi sempurna!



3. Grammar English ni taklah sesukar grammar sesetengah bahasa seperti bahasa Perancis. Bahasa Perancis lebih sukar untuk dikuasai sehingga orang Perancis pun kata bahasa mereka itu susah!



4. Dengan memahami Grammar anda boleh gunakan kamus sahaja selepas tamat kursus BI saya tu sebagai rujukan yang cepat dan tepat tanpa memerlukan pertolongan seorang guru lagi! Itulah sebabnya saya ajar pelajar-pelajar saya cdara-cara menggunakan kamus Oxford English-English-Malay secara efektif untuk membantu pelajar-pelajar saya berdikari selepas tamat kursus.



BAGAIMANAPUN, perlu anda ingat dan sedar bahawa dari segi Grammar, ada sedikit perbezaan antara Grammar BM dengan BI iaitu:-



1. Bukan semua tatabahasa BM yang sama atau mirip dengan Grammar BI. Ini bermakna anda perlu tahu perbezaan mereka agar tidak menggunakan tatabahasa BM dalam komunikasi bahasa Inggeris anda.





2. Ada konsep-konsep Grammar dalam BI yang tidak wujud lansung dalam bahasa Melayu seperti penggunaan Verb TO BE seperti am,is,are,was dan were. Bagaimanapun tak lah susah sangat cuma kena ingat sahaja bila nak diselitkan dalam ayat-ayat bahasa Inggeris anda itu sahaja.





Sekian sahaja artikel saya buat masa ini. Kepada yang nak belajar BI secara sendiri boleh dapatkan Manual Lengkap Bahasa Inggeris saya pada harga RM190 sahaja. Kalau nak belajar secara Online, yuran cuma tambah RM100 sahaja lagi. Kalau nak sertai Kursus Asas-Asas Komunikasi bahasa Inggeris saya, ianya akan bermula 9hb Jan ini di Sunway dan 5hb feb di Precint 16, Putrajaya. Diskaun khas untuk lepasan SPM 2010 dan pelajar-pelajar.

I’m beginner here. I found this forum at Google search engine.

Other forums I've ever register, majority speak Malay.

Not much that can help me improve my English.

First of all, I would like to give title for this essay is Inferiority complex.

Let me describe my self.

I never speak English properly, I never learn English properly, I never chat in English and I never deal with conversations in English.

This is first time ever I wrote in English.

I only learn English at primary school and high school with a weak to understanding of English. That is a long time ago story.

When I finish (finished) my course at university, I still have no confidence to speak (spoke) and write (written) English.

When people speak English, I tend to reply in bahasa (Mother tongue).

I always refuse (refused) to speak (spoke or reply) English with others.

It seems like I’m hiding from everyone.

I've no self confident (confidence) to spoke (speak) English, to wrote (write) English and to argue in English.

I am (I'm or I) facing (faced) same problem as few people's here.

When I (I'm or I am) trying too hard to argue in English, suddenly my mind blur and blank, I cannot continued (continue), I’m speechless.

What I have to (I can) do, is only seat around one corner, just read and watched what they are debated.

I despair :crying:

I feel (felt) ashamed (shy) and scared to arguing with them together.

I worry if they will laugh at me.

I have some friends who like to tease my weakness.

Frankly speaking, that's nightmare for people who have a problem with inferiority complex.

They kill the spirit of a person to improve themselves.

That is why,I refused to have conversations in English.

If I really want to participate, I tend to choose speak in broken English and bahasa pasar, but often speak in Bahasa.

Seems like Chinese people’s, they talk and mix up English with SMS-ed language, eg; with-v, only-oni, already-edi, and-n, can-ken, also-oso, cannot-kenot 1, always-olwes and so on to cover the weaknesses.

Here, list of problem that I faced (or facing):-

1) I do not know how to start learn English.

2) I do not know how to construct verse/paragraph. Without Google translator helping me find/translate and calibrate few phrase (word or verse or paragraph), I probably cannot describe exactly.

3) I do not understand verb, grammar, past tense, present tense and so on.

4) I will continue later or soon, if I have idea.

Please help me by checking (check or correct) the essay with give (gave) opinion (suggestions) which verse in bracket & bold that I should use and shouldn't to use (no need)?

Please teaching (teach) me how and where to putting ed, s & ing on my verse.

Please check my spelling too (also).

There are many things I want to express here, but I will continued (continue) until I’ve got response from you guys.

I took one hour and half (an hour and a half) to write this essay.

1: Tolong betulkan kesilapan penggunaan ayat atau sarankan ayat yang lebih sesuai kepada saya untuk membentuk atau membina sebaris ayat sepertimana redsinner memperbetulkan penggunaan ayat naikAntenna di post hadapan.
2: Tolong sarankan, adakah lebih sesuai ayat didalam kurungan tersebut saya gunakan?
3: Tolong tambah ED, S & ING (saya tidak faham apa tujuan tambahan ED, saya cuma perhatikan penggunaan ini sewaktu saya membaca artikel berbahasa inggeris. Ia membantu saya menghafal sedikit sebanyak  tetapi sayangnya saya tidak tahu apa tujuan penggunaannya) pada mana-mana ayat yang diperlukan dalam karangan diatas.
4: Saya tidak tahu dimana dan bila saya harus menggunakan was, had, be, more, then dll perkataan asas. Tolong ajarkan bagaimana untuk menggunakannya.  
5: sila berikan berapa markah yang saya layak dapat dengan karangan budak sekolah diatas.

Ya start ur writing by using simple present tense so ya gotta use it for the whole writing unless ya know how to shift and that depends on ur skills.See how I pick speak and write.After to,use root words unless it functions as preposition. And-same idea..

Don't let others' negativity wanes ur dogged determination.. We can make it.....  I recommend yu to buy any grammar books in store to sharpen up ur grammar..

    Oh maksud Wotter sebenarnya kalau I speak kemudian disambung dengan and maka verb selepas and mestilah dalam root word sbb verb speak tu dlm root word. I speak and sleep..  Bukannya I speak and sleeping( atau slept atau sleeps)

Kak/Abg kekupu jangan putus asa..dik dulu macam tu jugalah English x reti..subject verb berterabur.. Jgn putus asa tanyalah apa2 soalan kat adik,dik akan jawab sekadar dik mampu

3. Perlu berguru

Untukperingkat permulaan dan pertengahan (Fundamentals and Intermediate) anda perlumempunyai guru. Ini bermakna samaada anda menghadiri kelas bahasa Inggeris yangformal ataupun anda juga boleh belajar sendiri dengan sokongan guru secarajarak jauh atau Online seperti yang saya buat dalam Kursus Online saya. Agaksukar untuk anda memahami konsep-konsep dalam bahasa Inggeris terutamanya yangtiada dalam bahasa Melayu seperti penggunaan Auxiliary Verbs seperti penggunaanVerb TO BE seperti penggunaan am, is, are, was dan were dan juga penggunaanVerb Tenses atau Kala Kata Kerja seperti Present tenses, Past Tenses dan Futuretenses. Thank for the info TT,  it's really helpful to advance in English. I think I didn't have a spirit to push my mind to learn in English, I don't know why?  but it's happen when I still young. But know I am struggle to learn English that I can reading, listening and speaking others people when want to ask something. Since I am 20 years old, I like to learn Mandarin language rather than an English and I study with my friends in our University. But know it's over and I forgot what I am studying. How ridiculous myself....last year my hobby is different, so unique. I want to try to learn Hebrew that never hear before but very surprisingly in period six day I can memorize all Hebrew alphabet. And now still to learn Hebrew alone, no teacher, no class and no everything... just learn from you-tube, website or blog.

For me, if you have a spirit and you very like to learn others language especially English language, I guarantee you can expert that language very fast. But my English so bad until now.... I hope I can learn both this language this year. At least I can writing and listening in Hebrew and advance writing, speaking and listening in English... hope so

Kalau pendiam boleh gunakan - reserved, quiet, not talkative, taciturn, mute, not big on small talk

Kalau pemalu boleh juga gunakan reserved, shy, bashful, diffident, reticent

Saya cadangkan anda gunakan Thesaurus untuk cari perkataan2 seerti yang boleh digunakan untuk menggantikan perkataan yang biasa digunakan untuk pendiam (quiet) dan pemalu (shy)
