Pusing steering sampai habis.

yg aku tau, kete model baru yg enjin FF mmg drive shaft dia duk depan, so, sudut pusing/corner stereng pun terhad.

kalo kete lama, FR shaft dia ke tayar blakang. so, sudut/angle pusingan stereng tu lebih bebas, tkyah power stereng pun dah ringan. bleh pulas smpai abis tanpa byk masalah. sbb tkde problem drive shaft macam kete FF.

Aku nak tanya pasal steering..harap2 ada yg boleh membantu.

Biasanya kalau aku nk kuar dr tmpat parking, aku akan pusing steering kete aku sampai abis pusing. Yelah..tempt sempit, lepas tu  orang b ...

Sebenarnya boleh jer kalau pusing stereng sampai abis bila nak parking laa, tapi dgn syarat time nak pusing abis tu takleh ganas2, nanti mechanism rack and pinion stereng tu bleh rosak.

ntahnya mazhab mn la yg ckp pulas stereng smpi abis bleh rosak part2 stereng tu.
kalo x blh pulas smpi abis apa jadahnya engineer buat stereng tu boleh pusing2 smpi ke satu tahap maksimum.

Setakat pulas abis jer tak rosak part stereng tu, tapi kalau time pulas abis tu cara ganas nyer tu yang bleh menjahanamkan stereng laa.

aku rasa kalau sampai tahap maksimum pulas pun tapi bukan dgn hentakan yg kuat takde apa2 kot.....kecuali le hentakan tuh terlalu kuat...diulangi terlalu kuat..!!!! ..maybe ada effect kot...kalau setakat dah rasa pulas dah jejak minimum tuh tade apa2 sgt kot.........

Kesan akibat selalu memusing steering to maximum (lock-to-lock):-

1) Umur drive shaft jadi pendek kerana constant velocity joint sentiasa berada pada maximum stress.
2) Ball joint cepat longgar - kereta punya ride and handling rasa vague/tak padat/loose.
3) Steering shaft pun cepat longgar - free play pada steering akan byk - steering rasa goyang.
4) Power steering pump kena deliver maximum pressure semasa steering dipusing maximum - umur power steering pump akan pendek dan hose boleh cepat bocor.

Consider this situation - semasa anda membuat U-turn dgn memusing steering sampai habis, tiba-tiba tayar depan terlanggar divider. Tayar tidak ada ruang lagi utk bergerak kerana steering telah dipusing habis. Hentakan dan geeran pada tayar ini akan menekan tayar assembly dan suspension system. Jadi suspension dan tayar assembly akan rosak dan loose. Sekiranya steering tidak dipusing habis, tayar masih boleh bergerak apabila terkena divider.

Selama guna keta nie belum pernah lagi ada pengalaman repair drive shaft....
Yg pernah kena pun tukar steering bush tue pun sekali aje terkena....

engineer dah fikir/calculate/analyze utk letak limit pada setiap mechanism.. tapi setiap movement tu ada stress/strain tinggi, ada yg rendah, ada yg neutral.. kalau stress tinggi, lama lama nanti dia kaput jugak.. sekali sekala, ok la..

drive kereta dgn high rpm sampai redline ok tak? redline still ok.. kalau tak ok, mesti la engineer limit tak sampai redline.. tapi kalau slalu bawak sampai redline, ape jadi kat enjin?
