How to travel between Hongkong & Macau

Take ferry from any of these 2 well-known companies

1) CotaiJet : http://cotaijet.com.mo/sailing-schedule

CotaiJet Route:

a) China Ferry Terminal, TST <--> Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal, Macau ( also known as Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal)

b) China Ferry Terminal, TST <--> Macau Taipa Ferry Terminal

c) Hongkong Macau Ferry Terminal, Sheung Wan ( HK Island) <--> Macau Taipa Ferry Terminal

d) Hongkong Macau Ferry Terminal, Sheung Wan ( HK Island) <--> Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal, Macau ( also known as Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal)

2) TurboJet : http://www.turbojet.com.hk/eng/schedule/prd.asp

TurboJet route:

a) Hongkong Macau Ferry Terminal, Sheung Wan <--> Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal, Macau ( also known as Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal)

b) China Ferry Terminal TST <--> Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal, Macau ( also known as Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal) - Operates by First Ferry Macau

Transportation

1) Public Bus

For journeys on Macau peninsula there is a flat fare at MOP$3.20.
If you travel to Taipa, it costs MOP$4.20 and if your destination is Coloane village MOP$5.00.
If you go to Hác Sá, you will pay MOP$6.40.
For those wishing to go from Macau to the Airport or back, the special bus service costs MOP$4.20 per person.

Transmac bus company : http://www.transmac.com.mo/

2) Taxi

Two type of taxi : black cab & yellow cab
Charge :
MOP13 for the first 1600 meters. MOP1.50 for each additional 230 meters afterwards.
MOP3.00 for each luggage in the boot.
MOP5 for boarding the taxi from the airport

Due to language barrier, please use the local chinese name when pointing out the direction to the taxi drivers

Here are the names of some places in English and Chinese:
A-Ma Temple - Ma Kok Miu
Civic & Municipal Affairs Bureau - Man Zheng Zhong Chu
Av Almeida Ribeiro - San Ma Lô
St. Paul's Ruins - Tai Sam Pá
Lisboa Hotel - Pou Keng
Macau Ferry Terminal - Kong Ou Má Tau
Barrier Gate - Kwan Tchap
Guia Hill - Tchong San
Cultural Centre - Man Fá Tchong Sam
Airport - Kei Cheong

3) Free Hotel Shuttle Bus

Normally those big hotels and resorts provide free shuttle bus for the tourist. You can take these shuttle busses either from Ferry Terminal or Macau Airport. This is the cheapest way to travel in Macau but you probably need to spend some time queuing as this is an FOC service and everyone is taking advantage of this facility.

If you arrive at the ferry terminal from HK and planning to go to Venetian, you can take the shuttle bus straight to Venetian.
After that, if you want to go to Senado Square, St.Paul's ruin, take the shuttle bus back to ferry terminal. Then at the ferry terminal, take a shuttle bus to Grand Lisboa / Wynn Hotel and from there it's just a short walk.

Just treat the ferry terminal as a transit hub and get on the next shuttle bus for your destination

Sy pergi Macau, dari HK.Naik feri.Sgt mabuk lauuttt..>,<
We all stay di Best Western Hotel. Not recommended la. Overall, for me, Macau biasa2 je. Dah pergi sekali, takkan ada plan nak g sana lagi. HK lagi fun, byk activities boleh buat.

ramai yg org kate mabuk laut naik feri ke macau...tp aku rase biasek je naik feri nye..cam gi langkawi je..heheheh..kat macau mmg susah la nk carik org ckp omputih..even pekerja hotel pon tak pandai..mase aku pegi ari tuh, mlm tuh bilik blackout..call la reception soh naik cek...die bantai ckp cina..jenuh la kite cakap no electric kat die..tak paham jugak...bile ade technican yg naik pon cakap cina ngan kami, kami bantai ckp omputih..masing2 tak paham...hahahahahahah..kelaka sgt..

tp bile dipikirkan, takkan die tak paham kan bilik kami gelap gulita..last2 die panggil org betul kan...suis besar jatuh...lepas pada tuh kami bantai gelak sakan kat bilik

Pengalaman semasa di Macau awal April hari tuh:

View dari Turbojet semasa sampai di Macau.

Senado Square & St Paul ruins - Tempat wajib jika ke Macau. So, memang berduyun manusia kat sini. Penuh dengan kedai but takde satu pun jual souvenir yg best especially fridge magnet.

Macau tower - Tak sempat nak naik. Sekarang dalam bus shuttle Venetian sebab nak ke Taipa.
