DucatiMalaysia (Next Bike Sdn Bhd) launched its first Ducati dealership in SungaiBuloh today, just over a year after the opening of Asia’s largest Ducati Centrein Petaling Jaya. The launch of Ducati Welly Sungai Buloh as an official Ducatidealership marks the beginning of Ducati Malaysia’s plans for furtherdevelopment of the brand throughout the country. During the momentous occasion,Ducati Malaysia also unveiled the Multistrada 1200 ABS China Adventure specialedition.
Present at the launch were Mr Pierfranceso Scalzo,Ducati Region Asia Commercial Director, Mr Nik Danial Nik Mahmood, VicePresident of NAZA Two Wheels Division, representing Datuk Wira SM Faisal TanSri SM Nasimuddin, Mr Ngo Yoke Kwang, owner and operator of Ducati Welly SungaiBuloh and Mr Nageb Abdul Majid, President of Ducati Club Malaysia.
“Since beinggranted the rights of Ducati distributorship locally, Next Bike has ensured thesteady and successful expansion of the brand’s presence. Now that it is betterestablished in Malaysia, we have an ever-growing number of Ducati owners andenthusiasts to cater to and our customers can be sure that our commitment tocreating a larger network of Ducati Centres and dealers is firmly on track,”said Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairmanof NAZA Group of Companies.
“Movingforward, we are in plan to open few more new CI showrooms to extend Ducati’sreach in Malaysia and enable us to better serve the Ducati owners and customers,” added Datuk Wira SM Faisal. “Thosekey areas that we are looking at are Hartamas, Penang, Kelantan, Johor andKuching,” furthered Datuk Wira SM Faisal. Mr. Pierfrancesco Scalzo, Ducati Region Asia CommercialDirector said, “The opening of this brandnew showroom is the proof of the increasing demand and interest towards theDucati brand in Malaysia; now our customers have even more occasions to feeland see closer all the Ducati motorcycle range.” Mr. Scalzo added “We are delighted to have a great partner suchas NAZA in Malaysia for pampering our Ducatisti customers and enhancing theDucati lifestyle and passion in Malaysia.”
Owner and operator of Ducati Welly Sungai Buloh,Mr. Ngo Yoke Kwang (also known as Kwang or Welly) said, “I started off as the average mechanic with a particular fondness formagnificent two-wheelers. The combination of this passion and ambition drove meto build a motorcycle dealership in Klang Valley, and be the first official appointeddealer by Ducati Malaysia is deeply satisfying and a great honor.”
Ducati Welly Sungai Buloh showroom holds the fullrange of Ducati products - from bikes and merchandise to performance parts andgenuine spare parts. There is also a dedicated Ducati service centre with thecapability of handling 5 bikes simultaneously with certified Ducati after-salespersonnel and fully equipped with Ducati special tools.
During the official dealership launch, DucatiMalaysia also unveiled its Multistrada 1200 ABS China Adventure special edition, limited to 50 units at RM95,888NSP. This edition, which comes complete with side panniers and double stand,was released in conjunction with the upcoming 1st Ducati Strada China Adventure. The trip planned for 27 August to 18September spans over 23 days and will take 14 bikers on a journey that spans5,168km through North Eastern China, from Tianjin to Dalian.
Kwang, who will lead the group on behalf of DucatiMalaysia said that, “I was impressed bythe Ducati Multistrada’s capability of handling arduous and often challengingjourneys cross country. So when it came to planning this China Adventure withDucati Malaysia, knowing that we needed a dynamic and reliable motorcycle, theMultistrada was the perfect choice for everyone in the group!”
Ducati Malaysia has alreadypre-sold substantial number of the Multistrada 1200 and the first batch wasrecently registered. Ten units of the Ducati Multistrada were presented to theproud owners at the opening of Welly Sungai Buloh dealership.
Datuk Wira SM Faisal added “In the coming months, we expect to hand overmany more keys to proud owners of the new Multistrada and will organize morelifestyle activities around this model.
